Kimberley stirred her coffee for the umpteenth time. She had no appetite what so ever for the coffee. She had only ordered it to pass time. Her heart was in her stomach. Right now she was a nervous reck. She had every reason to be nervous, this was the only way she could keep the company. If this was to fail too she do have a hard time balancing the company and settling acquired debts. And there was also her sick mum. She was afraid that if things turn out to be bad today that she would have to lay off some workers. It do be a strain for her to settle loans and also pay the workers their monthly salary. She wasn't sure if she could cope. After all most of the workers had seen her grow up and she was attached to them. They were like family to her. It would take a toll on them if they were suddenly laid off. She knew that she had to cut down hers and her mother's living expenses if things were not to go according to plan. Not that there was one to cut from. Her and her mother were already living the worst way they could. If they were to move again it will take a toll on her mother's already weak health and she couldn't help but be worried. If things are still the same after this, she was afraid that they had to move again. She had promised her father when she inherited the company that she would make sure it stays. If only she had known that the debts were much and the company was almost bankrupt, such promises wouldn't have been made. She would have suggested to have the company sold to an eligible buyer. But she was tied and she wasn't planning to break her promise to her father.

She looked at the cheap brown leather watch on her thin wrists. She has gotten thinner in the past few months due to stress. After her father died she had taken over the company. She was striving so hard to protect the only legacy her father left for her. She sighed when she saw the time. Something she has been doing lately. She still has more ten minutes before her jackpot arrived. She really wanted the time to slow down. She didn't want another disappointment. Over the months she had met some of her fathers old friends, but non was willing to help. It was either this story or that story and it was beginning to annoy her. She couldn't see how her father had been so foolish to choose friends that viewed him as nothing. This was the last on the list of friends her father kept, and this one was the closest too. She just hoped that another disappointment wasn't on the way.

She decided to use the female restroom before her meeting starts, so she stood up picked her purse and phone and headed to the restroom. She was fumbling with her purse for something as she walked, and she remained unconscious to her surrounding. Soon she bumped into a hard wall. Not being able to stable herself on time, she closed Ber eyes on instinct and awaited the great fall. A second, two, three and nothing happened. Slowly, she opened her eyes only to find out that a hand was snaked around her waist keeping her balanced. She was really grateful. She traced her eyes from the clothed hands up to the face of her savior. The first thing that greeted her line of sight was the strong and sexy jaw free of stubbles and bears. She starred a little longer before her eyes trailed up the mouth and she couldn't help but gasp. It was the sexiest lips she have ever seen. The were inviting for a kiss and one could tell that the owner must be very handsome to posses such powerful red lips. It was really a sight, but what a shame those sexy lips were frowning. Her heart strings thugged as her eyes advanced. It was as if she wanted to imbed the memory of her savior in her mind. She wasn't surprised to see the long and straight powerful nose. This man was truly worth the stare. She has seen handsome men, but there was something about this man holding her that screamed danger and thugged at her heart. She was disappointed to notice that his eyes were hidden by dark trimmed glasses. His strong and beautiful brows were barely visible. She looked at the man's face unblinking.

The man was finding it hard not to tear the face of the lady that was staring at him. He found it hard to focus as those beautiful emerald eyes stared at him unblinking. So he did the only thing that came to his mind. He unclasped his hands that was snaked around the lady's waist and she fell with a thud.

Tears stung at the back of Kimberley eyes, she haven't expected this and the fall had been painful. She looked up and glared at the man she was beginning to find repulsive.

' what handsome this was clearly the devil', she muttered as she fought her tears.

'' You must be enjoying the floor'', a melodic voice that could drown the soul of the hearer said breaking into Kimberley's thoughts. If only she wasn't seated at the floor right now, she would have admired the voice. A deep throated chuckle sounded from behind the man, at it was at that moment that Kimberley noticed that they weren't alone. Five men also dressed in black suit as the devil man were present looking at her with amused face. She must have made a fool of herself.

She couldn't help but curse again. '' Bastard'', she muttered as she stood up and dusted invisible dusts from the back of her black denim trousers. The man must have heard her because in cocked his eye brows. She wasn't bothered at all, after all she had just been disgraced. She threw the man another dirty glare, picking her purse and phone she left with her head and shoulders high. She wasn't one to accept defeat easily.

As soon as she left, the man also left with his group not without throwing a second glance at the direction she left from. Getting to the rest room, she switched on the tap and splashed water on her face. ' what a day she muttered'. When she recalled what had happened earlier she swore under her breathe. She was sure to pay back the bastard if they ever meet again. She had just finished arranging her hair when her phone rang. When she saw the called I.d, she packed her purse and raced towards her table.
