Today is my sixteen birthday, today I get to meet my wolf and if am lucky my mate. The Riverside pack is one of the largest packs in our country....run by alpha Ryker and his Luna Winter they have son soon to be alpha Axel. Axel and I grow up close because my father is his father's beta, they would joke about us being fated mates and them finally becoming a real family .

Even though I acted like I hated the idea but deep down I was happy because I have a crush on him, no not a crush am in love with him.... but he'll never see me that way. He sees me as this weak little orphan girl he was made to protect, believe me he has told me this every chance he got. I was adopted after my whole pack was killed by alpha Rouge and he took the survive pack members, I was at school with other kids when the attack happened, imagine coming home from school to dead bodies of your parents and people you called family ... alpha Ryker was scheduled to visit my pack that day to form an alliance with my dad, he arrived too late. He found us there among dead bodies crying for our loved ones, took us in and gave us a family. I was only six at the time, but I remember it like it happened yesterday, there were five of us that day. We lost our home, our lives and our family, we vowed to stick together through everything... Now we are as thick as thieves, maybe it's the tragedy we went through, or the way the kids of this pack treat us but we stick together like glue, stick up for one another there is Ace, Dash and Blaze... yeah totally badass names but we are out cast of course there's Ophelia and me Bella Snow.

Ophelia was in my room waiting for me to get ready for my first shift, her birthday is a couple of days so she's not allowed to come ... its is said seeing the first shift before you time will make you fear it , you'll either lose your wolf all together or die shifting. "So are you ready birthday girl" she said. She was 5'2 , had red hair and eyes, pale skin heart shaped face, skinny body with the right assets on point little of everything, picky breasts, small waist, small curves. As for me 5'5 taller than most shifter girls, I'd be a giant next to a human girl, am too skinny not because I don't eat, I just can't gain the weight, white long hair....no I didnt dye it,its so long it's right under my ass, if I cut it, it gets worse so I let it be, ocean blue eyes, small breasts, no curves or ass to be seen at all. I wear a lot of buggy clothes and sweat pants to hide my body, while Ophelia flutes her body with tank top, skirts and shorts. At the moment she's wearing a white tank top with denim shorts, I optioned for a tracksuit. Am busy braiding my hair, while waiting for my dad to call me.

"Ready as I'll ever be, hopefully my wolf will give me same meat on this bones" I said jokingly but deep down I knew I meant every word I just said.

"Stop it, your gorgeous just the way you are" Ophelia said, I know she meant it, but I needed to believe it in order for me to expect myself the way I am. There was a knock at the door that pulled me away from my thoughts " come in " I said as I finished my braid, my mom walked in " my baby is about to shift for the first time " she started crying, I some times wonder why I ended up staying with then, after my mother lost two pups giving birth she gave up on having kids, the day I came we just click and she took me in and treating me like her own, even this day I count her amongs my blessings...... I see them as my parents, nothing or no one will change that, I lost and gained parents on the same day, goddess was truly on my side. I wiped her tears away, she was wipes mine " stop crying, your going to make me cry" I said between sobs, my dad walked in and pulled us both in his arms. " now mate see what you did, your going to make her think she won't survive the shift " I tensed at my dad's word, my mom hit him on the arm " don’t scare us like that" she said wiping her tears " my baby is strong and will make it, and no one has dead during their first shift in a very long time even before we were born, don’t mind him honey" she said placing her hands on my cheek. After that emotional episode my dad told us is time, I hugged Ophelia and left with my parents.

When we got to the woods all the unmated males were here, the alpha, Luna and my parents “ today one of our own is about to shift for the first time, of course all the unmated males must come to see if she is one of their fated mate" his voice boomed with alpha power “ you will all shift first, her parents will walk her through it, than we go for a run, upon return… if indeed she has a mate among you young warriors you will know" they all started talking they shirts off, all around me rock hard abs upon rock hard abs, looked down I couldn’t let them see me how my cheeks suddenly went pink , we are shifters nutidy is no big deal around here. My mother and father came to me than “ it time” was all my dad said before taking my hand and leading me to stand under the moon light, giving me a kiss on my forehead and went to stand next to the alpha“ take off your clothes honey” I did as my instructed by my mom “ now take a deep breath and try to feel your wolf inside of you, it midnight now you should feel her wanting to come out” I do feel her, I feel her at the edge of my brain… I reached her and brought her forward.

“Hey my name is Arial your wolf" she said “ hey Arial , am Bella… I think it’s time we shift” she came forward a little more and I felt my bones cracking, everything hurts, the sound of my creaking bones made me panic. “ Your doing great honey just breath” my mom smoothing voice help me a bit , I could feel everyone of my bones creak... am exaggerating a bit here, after a few more creaks it hurt less than it was over and now I stood on four paws. the was a pound near me I went to it , I wanted to see myself. There I was in my wolf form , my fur was as white as a snow with two red marking on my right leg, I still had ocean blue eyes, there were others near me “pack" my wolf said I went to my pack and we started to run, chasing each other, chasing rabbits. I could spot blaze easily, his familiar to me , he knocked me down and jump on me, we played for a while until I smelled there most intoxicating smell I’ve ever smelled “ mate” my wolf said and we run to that direction . When we got there that smell of earth and muscularity mixed together took me to a red wolf with two white markings on his right leg, our eyes look… we came towards each other he licked me, I put my head on his head. I already know who this is, its Axel… it was always talked about how his wolf is unusually and red, how it represents power and strength. Our moment was cut short by a foreign smell “ not pack" my wolf said , before I can figure what’s happening Axel stepped in front of me, then came every single wolf that was out here with us, I was pushed back until I was in the middle of a lot of Male wolf and couldn’t see my mate anymore.

My alpha came forward and asked my mother to leave with me, we run to our pack houses, we shifted back to our human form.... got dressed as quickly as we could, we went to our house, my mom told me to go to my room, I did as I was told, went to my room to find Ophelia sleeping, with a smile I cuddling next to her and thoughts about how a foreign wolf just ruined my dream come true, the happiest day of my life, I meet my wolf and my fated mate, I slept thinking about Axel my fated mate.
