My name is Aisha Husseini Abubakar,  am a tall slender Caucasian woman who loves reading and hiking.  Am seventeen years old and a senior at Hillcrest highschool.

I have a best friend named Fatima.

Fatima is an extrovert and love doing things with trend, nothing popular can pass the eagle eye of Fatima, she has every designer brand railed on her closet from Louis voitton, Prada, Gucci you name it and every flashy car her parents can afford. Her dad owns a real estate company where my dad works.

My nature on the other side is introverted, am shy and bashful and try very hard to avoid social gatherings at all cost, I suspected the reason to be the sorrounding I grew up in,  I was always alone and was rarely allowed to play with other kids.

Tonight, Fatima had been trying tooth and nail  to persuade me to go with her to a party at a frat house which one of her popular friends will be organizing.

I of course  said no.

“There is no way am going to any party” I stated calmly while Fatima trailed beside me chidding like a parrot.  I hated parties

“It will be fun” She pouted trying to convince me.

“I don't care about fun, my dad is strict Fatima, And Abdi  always trace my every move, so, no.”  I stated nonchalantly.

Fatima dropped her shoulders sighing.

“You are such a snob” i patted her on the shoulder and she grunted.

We manouvered a corner and I bumped suddenly into someone, I staggered on my feet akwardly but someone gripped my wrist and steadied me.

“Thank you” I whispered gazing at a tall brown haired boy with two bright green eyes which peered at me warmly.

My heart fluttered.

“You are welcome” He stated with a deep voice before walking where we had came from. I craned my neck following him before someone forced a cough and I turned to see Fatima eyeing me all cocky.

“You like him” She gushed confidently a sly grin plastering itself on her soft pink lips.

“No”

I beggan walking away and heard Fatima running towards me excited.

“His name is Harry, he is a new student, a senior-senior”  Meaning he has one year till he graduates from highschool.

“How did you know about him?” I enquired wanting to know more about him, his politeness has somehow struck somewhere in my soul stirring it.

He wasn't the typical badboys with cocky grins and annoying arrogance, though he was really hot. I swallowed hard knowing how hard it will be getting even close to someone like him, judging that he wasn't even Muslim.

Fatima grinned knowingly. “Am an extrovert remember, nothing can pass me”

She flailed her hair, weird thing she isn't used to wearing her hijab and smirked.

“I heard that he will be coming to the party”

“Really?” I gushed before covering my mouth instantly.

“Yes and if you don't come, someone will have her way before you get a chance to know him”

I grunted.

“Am not interested with him” I lied.

“Stop acting with me Aisha, am your best friend, today at 8:00 Pm I'll pick you up, tell your dad you will be having a reading sleepover at my house, he won't refuse you.” She babbled and she was off.

I sighed watching her leave while swaying her hips side to side. I was surprised with how much freedom her parents bestowed to her while myself I can't even walk with a headscarf in the house.

That's how life is and I can't dwell on something I can't have, atleast I have a family.

After dinner, I always watched an American show on Fox, which was about a military guy whose troop killed a certain guy in Libya, Bin Khalid, his son swore to avenge him and planned a killing of the military rangers, my brother loved that movie but hated me watching it.

The only thing I could do at night was trying to read a novel or magazine, I wasn't an early sleeper, but today I was determined to sleep early.

After changing into my oversized pyjamas, I sat on my bed and took out my phone, I texted Fatima telling her I'll be going to the party. I could picture her celebrating and I chuckled before finally going to sleep.
