Eldon Pierce walked out of the shower and into his walk in closet wearing a towel around his waist with his well defined body steaming and dripping; his abs, his arms and his Adonis belt, looking like he was a statue sculptured to perfection. He lived by himself in a penthouse of one the high class apartment buildings in city and it was neat and classy with a breath taking view of the city buildings and in the near distance the ocean, blue and vast.

He began to get ready for work. He moisturized his body, styled his dark brown hair, gently brushed his faint natural moustache and beard, dabbed some cologne on his neck and then got into the grey suit that was laid out on the round sofa in the middle of the closet.

A moment later, he walked out and he was done; looking suave from head to toe like he was about to walk the red carpet. He grabbed his phone from the bed side and then his designer leather bag from the welcome table and walked out.

Outside he walked down the hallway to the elevator and rode it all the way down to the ground floor where he walked across the foyer to the front door.

"Good morning Mr. Pierce," the man behind the desk greeted.

"Good morning Anderson," Eldon greeted back and walked on to the front door where the door man swung the door open for him.

"Good morning Mr. Pierce," the doorman greeted tipping his heart a little to him.

"Good morning Greg, have yourself a good day."

"Likewise sir," he said and Eldon walked across the side walk to his blue and grey Rolls Royce Phantom. His driver was standing beside it and seeing him coming he got the door opened for him.

"Good morning Briggs."

"Mr. Pierce," Briggs said as Eldon got into the car and he shut the door for him. He then got in behind the wheel and drove the car off down the road to his work.

A moment later he arrived. The elevator opened on the 10th floor and walking out with a few others, Eldon made his way across the floor to his office, with the women in the their cubicles, some talking on their phones and some sipping on their coffees, passing subtle not so subtle looks at him, as he greeted back everyone that greeted him; men and women.

He reached his office and walked in closing the door behind him and on it was the name Eldon Pierce with the title chief executive officer, CEO, written underneath it.

He sat down by his desk and putting his bag on one of the sofa stools by the window and taking his jacket off and hanging it on his chair, he switched on his computer and got right into working.

An hour later, a knock came to the door and someone walked in with a file in her hand. It was Amber Tanner, a 32 year old woman with long dark hair and a slender body. She was the operations manager and reported directly to Eldon.

"Uh yes o.k. then have a safe flight and call me when you get there . . . O.k. bye," Eldon said talking on his phone and cut the line. He then put it to the side and swung his chair in her direction. "Good morning," he then said to her.

"Hello," she said walking in further.

"Eaves dropping on my calls again?"

"Oh yes, nothing brings me greater joy than listening to your plastic conversations with your plastic girlfriend."

"You’re just jealous because she's admired by many and she’s clearly more fashionable than you," he said.

"Oh no worries I have a functioning heart and brain so I’m good."

"You just won’t stop will you?"

"Bad talking your girlfriend? No. I have many hobbies but this is my absolute favourite one," she said.

"Lucky me," he said and they chuckled.

"So what was that, the plastic company called her to tell her that her new boobs were in and she couldn’t wait to share the news and is now flying over to get them put in?"

"You’re such a sad human being," he said and they laughed. "That was her off to Milan."

"Ooh one of the fashion capitals of the world."

"Yes, a place you will clearly never be to." Amber laughed.

"How dare you? I am fashionable . . . Ish."

"You were pant suits."

"Yes high class fashionable pant suits and it’s not like I wear them every day, just the other day I wore that dress with the long arms," Amber said.

"Oh you mean the basil one?"

"Yes the basil one, why are you saying it like that?"

"Because it was basil, for goodness sake basil is not even a real colour it’s a herb so that absolutely will not count. Which brings me right back to the point of you wearing pant suits all the time," Eldon said.

"O.k., still nothing wrong with that, they look good on me."

"Yes they do but . . ."

"And they’re fashionable," she said.

"Yes they are but not to be worn every single day."

"Well it is not like I wear the same one."

"Well it looks like you do so again I still stand on my words," he said. "I mean what colour is that?" he then asked and Amber glanced down at herself.

"This is maroon."

"O.k. and what colour pant suit did you have on yesterday?"

"Crimson," Amber answered seeing where he was going with it.

"See where I’m going with this?"

"O.k. fine but it was just two days in a row."

"Two days, it has been the entire time I have known you. If it's not black then it's dark red, if it's not dark red then it's chocolate brown and if it's not chocolate brown then it's dark blue and if it's not dark blue then it's dark something," Eldon said.

"O.k. fine so I like dark colours."

"Yes which make you look like you wear the same suit every single day."

"Alright so my work clothes are missing a little colour," Amber said.

"Missing a little colour? Your work clothes are missing period." She chuckled. "She may be be plastic but at least she knows not to wear the same look 5 days in a row."

"Well of course she knows not to wear the same look 5 days in a row, that’s all they teach them at the factory. And also how to keep the plastic nice and shiny."

"You’re a very sad person," he said and they laughed.

"Anyway nothing against models."

"Thank you."

"Just her," she said and Eldon chuckled.

"There you go again, and you wonder why I haven’t introduced you to her." Amber gave a loud laugh and then abruptly stopped.

"Yes that’s why."

"You are a very very sad human being," he said and she laughed on.

"So, with her gone what’s going to happen to your holiday plans?"

"She’ll be back by the time we have to leave and we’ll be off to have ourselves the best vacation of our lives. Gosh when two people were just meant to be together."

"Right, until she finds someone richer and more good looking than you," Amber said and Eldon gave out a cocky laugh.

"Please that is not the kind of person she is. And besides there may be someone richer than me but more good looking than me, come on."

"Wow you two are perfect together."

"Thank you," Eldon said smiling.

"It wasn't a compliment but o.k. Anyway I brought that project you wanted data on."

"Yes. All done?"

"Yes I am," she answered and handed him the file.

"Alright." He opened it and briefly looked through it. "Awesome, looks good. Thank you very much."

"You're welcome. Alright, guess we’re done. Oh I mean I’m done, you still have that 5 day seminar to be at, ooh I just got so bored saying that," she said and they laughed.

"Trust me I feel the exact same way. I just want to get it over and done with as quick as I can so that I can be off and get my vacation started."

"Too bad, I’ll be thinking of how miserable you are every time I drink a sexy drink by the pool and just lay back doing absolutely nothing."

"Uh stole our idea to fly out to the Caribbean did you?" Eldon went.

"No, why would I steal anything from you? I am clearly cooler and way more fun that the two of you combined times ten plus ten times another ten."

"Wow, that was a good bit of calculating you had going on there."

"Yeah that's how cool I am," she said.

"O.k. fine so where will you be?"

"Wow see how self-absorbed you are, I’ve been on holiday 9 times since I started working here and this is the first time you’re actually asking me where I'm going to be spending it."

"I am not self-absorbed," Eldon said.

"Then why are you looking at the reflection of your face in my eyes?"

"I am not," he answered chuckled.

"Yes you are."

"O.k. so what if I am, I did my hair extra nice today and I just can’t seem to get enough of how amazing it makes me look."

"Wow yeah not self-absorbed at all," Amber said and they laughed. "Anyway I’ll be spending this holiday like I have all the others with my family, they live out in Oakville."

"Ooh Oakville fancy."

"Yeah my parents are pretty fancy people."

"What happened to you?"

"I have no idea," she answered and they laughed. "Yeah so I’m going to be out there with them."

"And that’s where you’ve been going all these past 4 years?"

"Yes it is."

"You actually like your parents," Eldon said.

"I love my parents. Any excuse I have to spend with them I am so there."

"Good for you, I can’t stand mine, I haven’t seen or spoken to either of them in . . . In a very long time."

"How come?" Amber asked.

"Because they’re horrible."

"Or maybe you’re the horrible son hmm, did you ever think about that?"

"How dare you I am a great son. I send expensive stuff to their house all the time, last year I bought my mother a diamond necklace, it was Chopard and cost over $5000," he said.

"You see that’s the problem, it’s always about money and gifts with you, maybe what they want is you and not all that fancy stuff you keep sending them, when was the last time you visited them?"

"I don’t remember, I think it was right about . . . When I came out of the womb."

"You're hopeless," Amber said and he laughed. "So what are you and your model girlfriend going to be doing? Sipping on wine and eating strawberries in the hot tub and looking into each other’s eyes and telling each other how good looking you both are?"

"That is ridiculous just who do you think I-yeah that is pretty much exactly what we’ll be doing," he said and they laughed. "Bottom line it is going to be the perfect holiday."

"It better be for how much you bought her for."

"O.k.," Eldon said having nothing more to say.

"And with how much money goes into her maintenance."

"Alright. She's actually a really nice person."

"I'll take your word for it," she said.

"Or you can meet her sometime and see for yourself?"

"I'll take your word for it," she said and they laughed.

"Seriously, what happened to you?"

"I have no idea but whatever it was it was the best thing that ever happened to me. It turned me into a legend."

"It turned you into a psychopath," Eldon said and they laughed. "How I have managed to work with you for this long is beyond me."

"I am awesome to work with, that's why you've worked with me of as long as you have. I gets the job done."

"You do. You work very hard so if you're looking to open yourself up to making some friends she might be a good one."

"I'm sorry but I would rather do literally anything else," she said and they laughed.

"Anyway our holiday is totally going to kick to the curve your boring holiday with your parents." She laughed on. "When do you leave?"

"I leave on Sunday. I'm going to take the late flight so that I can be there in time for bed, sleep it out and wake up the next morning ready to take the holiday by the balls."

"My holiday's balls are way bigger."

"Your holiday's balls wish," she said and they chuckled.

"Nice well have fun."

"Thank you I will. You too in the Caribbean."

"Yeah suck on that," Eldon said and they laughed as she got up and walked to the door.

"It's not a competition."

"Of course it's not because I clearly win."

"You know what," she said and turned back to him. "I take it back. I don't wish you a good time at all."

"Too late," he said and they chuckled as she walked on and he sat back in his chair to continue looking through the file. Amber reached the door and opened it turning back to him once more.

"Are you going to miss me?"

"Nope." They laughed as Amber then left closing the door behind her and Eldon continued looking through the file. He shifted his eyes up to the door and then shifted them back down to the file in his hand as just then a warm smile grew on his face. "Yes . . . Very much."
