"Hurry up!" a high pitch voice yelled loudly as she came beside a tree in the green forest. She turned back to find friend still in a far distance struggling to carry a basket on her shoulder. She sighed and rested her back on the tree calmly.

"Well, am sorry your highness, I am the one suffering here! " The friend yelled from afar and she giggled

  lightly.

She was Valerie, a fair maiden in a small village in the kingdom of Sansora, she had long brown hair that was twin braided and deep blue eyes that shined like the deep clean ocean, she was wearing a blue ankle length dress made of sheer linen.

Valerie turned when when her friend who had black hair that fell on her shoulders with a Scarf around her forehead with big grey eyes.

Brina dropped the basket filled with different type of herbs in it as she blend down and placed both her hands on her knees to catch her breathe and when she did, she looked up at her friend who had an innocent smile on her face.

"You should have helped me back there Val" Brina glared at her.

"I didn't think it was necessary. I thought you were the strongest in the whole village" Valerie teased her and bursted out laughing but immediately stopped when she saw the dead glared she was getting.

"I wish I had magic" Brina whined while Valerie rolled her eyes dramatically.

" Unfortunately, you are not a royal blood"

  " Thanks for noticing"

" Our duty is to help those who are sick with our healing portions. So, whatever it is that you have in that head of yours will not come true" Valerie told her with another eye roll as she blend down, picked up the basket and carried it on her shoulder and started going ahead.

Brina started  at her friend and couldn't help but wonder when her friend had developed such strength to carry something she couldn't. She blinked a few times before Chasing after Valerie who seemed to have gone a bit far.

Brina caught up with her and started walking backwards while talking to her friend.

"I heard there are five kingdom around us" Brina said with a smile on her face.

" Really?" Valerie asked sounding a bit surprised.

"Yeah. Kingdom Welden, Lennogas, Dawnton, Sansora and Fregon" Brina counted.

" You seem to know a lot Brina" Valerie said to her.

Brina rolled her eyes " Unlike you, I don't bury myself in books and herbs. Sometimes you smell like books, other times you smell like herbs and portions" she gave a little laugh at what her friend smelled like.

" Very funny Brina" Valerie faked a smile and Brina pulled her tongue at her and continued walking backwards but she suddenly tripped and fell on her butt on the ground.

  "Ouch!" She breathed out.

Valerie stood over Brina and gave a small laugh.

"You are so mean." Brina whined " Help me up" she pulled her hand out for Valerie who took and helped her stand on her feet. They both giggled and went over to look at what she tripped and in stead of a wood or stone, they saw a human being lying on the ground unconscious. His clothes were cover in blood and his face had some cut that had stopped bleeding by the look of it.

"It's a male" Valerie bursted out and Brina couldn't help but roll her eyes.

"Why?" She asked. "Haven't you seen a man before. You sound like a child most of the time, you are almost almost twenty, a age for marriage" Brina said and Valerie threw her a glared but turned her attention back to the man.

"What should we do with him?" She asked Brina who didn't have any interest on what they should do with him.

"We could walk away or leave him here" she answered with a bored tone "Am sure the animals in the Forrest are hungry" she added and  Valerie couldn't help but glare at her even more.

"Those are not the words of a healer" Valerie said to her.

"Unfortunately, I am not a healer" Brina crossed her arms over her chest with a little frown on her face.

Valerie rolled her eyes. Brina never wanted to be a healer, she was only doing it because she was found and brought up by the village healers and she didn't really have a choice. All she wanted was to explore the world, fight in battle and maybe a queen one day. Valerie scoffed at the thought of Brina being a queen but, she had always believed that she was going to leave the village and travel around the kingdoms which was why she was referred to as a tomboy by everyone in the village and which made most people did not like her while Valerie was a complete opposite.

She dreamed of becoming a healer just like the woman who raised her, she wanted to heal the sick and help those in need of her at all times, she was kind, caring and a sweet village girl with a simple aim to help her people the best way she could.

"I know who I want to be" Brina told her and Valerie shooked her head and blend down and placed two of her fingers  on the man's neck.

"He is still alive just passed out from the lack of blood" she examined and stood up.
