Nora Ann was dead.

Elena Stone sat by the bed in a daze. She looked at the divorce agreement Greyson Davies had thrown to her, her entire body trembling with chill.

One hour ago, he pinched her neck while asking, "Did you push Nora downstairs?"

An hour later, he called a lawyer to draft a divorce agreement and slapped the paper on her face. "Elena, you owe her two lives in this lifetime!"

Nora was pregnant with Greyson's child.

Elena, however, was Greyson's wife.

She looked at Greyson with red eyes, her entire body trembling. "I didn't push her down! I have told you millions of times! Why don't you trust me?"

Greyson didn't buy her words. He looked down at her, his eyes full of ruthlessness. She was just like a joke in his eyes. "Do you think your explanation can change anything now?"

It was already too late!

Now that Greyson believed Elena was the culprit, he would not change his mind no matter how hard she explained herself. What was worse, she had no evidence with Nora dead.

Elena burst into laughter. Then she stood up, grabbed the pen, and began to sign the agreement.

'You want a divorce, right? Now you get it!'

"Greyson, I have loved you for ten years. It turns out that my love for you is nothing at all. How pathetic I am! From now on, we have nothing to do with each other!"

'I'll take back my love for you from now on as well.' Elena held back her tears and forced a confident smile while she was signing the agreement.

Greyson looked at her and sneered, "Do you think that I'll let it go after you sign the divorce agreement? How naive you are!"

Elena's face was deathly pale. "What else do you want?"

"I want the whole Stone family to go down with Nora!"

Greyson declared in a cold voice, "From tomorrow, the Stone family will live in the living hell!"

Elena fell back to the bed, trembling. She looked at the captivating man in front of her. No one could take their eyes off him once they cast a glance at him, neither did Elena. However, she failed to see through him now, the man she had loved crazily over those years.

She had loved him in secret for five years and married him for another five years. But now he ignored the ten years she devoted to him and began to destroy her everything because of a trumped—up charge.

"Isn't my life enough for you?"

Elena's eyes turned red as she looked at Greyson. "Why do you even want to drug the whole Stone family down? My parents regard you as their own son. How can you accuse them of nothing?"

"Nora's death! This is the severest crime they have committed."

Greyson pinched Elena's chin hard. His creepy laughter seemed to come from hell. "They forced me to marry you in the first place, and now they even kill Nora. Speaking of cruelty, you beat me, Elena!"

A chill went down her spine when Elena heard this. Trembling, she asked, "That's how you think of me?"

"How I think of you?"

As if he heard a joke, Greyson sneered as he cast a resentful glace at Elena. "Do you deserve my attention? Elena, don't you think too highly of yourself? From now on, you have to pay the price for Nora's death!"

The rain began pouring down. Bean—sized raindrops fell on the window and made a crisp sound. Elena's heart sank deeper as the rain became heavier. She held back the heart—broken pain and muttered, "Greyson, if one day you find out that you've wronged me..."

Greyson had a lump in his throat all of a sudden, but he put on his ruthless look at once. His eyes were full of hatred. "I've wronged you? Elena, it is you who ruins my life!"

A loud thunderclap sounded at this very moment. Elena suffered buzzing in her ears.

All of a sudden, she lost her strength and took two steps backwards. Tears began running down her face as the rain was pouring. Greyson took away the agreement and slammed the door. The moment the door was closed, two worlds were isolated from each other as well.

Elena's world fell apart since then.
