The Michael Villa's backyard was decorated rather normally for an occasion from which no one is quite delighted. There were only a bunch of people present to witness the occasion. The sky was clear making the weather admirable for the occasion but no one noticed the weather at all as everyone's focus was only on one person, Hazel.

Just as Hazel stepped into the backyard all the surroundings turned into a chaotic scene.

An old woman whined in her wheelchair, an old man was cursing under his breath and two women showed malicious smiles while the other attendants on the occasion looked anxious.

A man wearing a copper-colored suit rushed like a hero, he kicked away his shoes and pulled out the socks in the way, and at last throwing his coat, he finally jumped into the large swimming pool.

SPLASH

He swam his way towards the large white piece of cloth and then pushing it aside he was finally able to see the woman who just jumped into the swimming pool. He held her face and looked at her for a second until he started swimming back and dragged her with himself.

A few people came to help and finally they were able to pull the bride out of the water. The dress has turned heavy because of being soaked in the water and it seemed a lot of strength from everyone to safely pull the bride out of the water.

Bennett Jackson, who was the hero of the occasion and savior of the bride, held the woman in his arms, and then placing her carefully on the ground he looked for her heartbeat, her face had turned pale and there was no sign of her breathing at all.

At this critical moment, only one thing came into his mind to save the girl's life. To give her oxygen from mouth to mouth, he pinched her nose and leaned. He was just an inch away from touching her lips when the bride suddenly opened her eyes and then slapped away his hand that was pinching her nose.

"Arghhh..."

She groaned and the man blinked his eyes in shock but when he looked into her hazel eyes, he got mesmerized.

"Hazel... My Hazel..." An old woman was still whining in the back and rolling her eyes, Hazel finally sat up. "I am okay and alive, granny." She announced loudly and her granny suddenly stopped.

She looked at her carefully and then took a sigh of relief. Hazel looked at the man sitting beside her watching her with interest in his eyes, she glared at him angrily as he had just ruined her perfect plan of canceling this forced marriage.

She was supposed to stand up when she saw a stern face coming toward her from the crowd, "F**k," She sighed, irritated, and then fell to the ground heavily.

THUMP

"You ungrateful woman, don't you dare to act." Michael, Hazel's father scowled at her but Hazel didn't budge she remained unconscious on the ground.

"What are you looking for, Michael? Teach her a good lesson." There comes a shrewd voice of her stepmother, Betty, and listening to her provocation, Michael raises his hand to slap Hazel but is stopped by Bennett immediately.

"Uncle, she needs medical attention not a beating from you." He covered Hazel in his arms immediately and Hazel smirked in victory.

"You don't know her, son. Let me handle her..." Michael said angrily and then tried to pull Hazel's arm but as he touched her arm, Bennett pulled her further into his embrace in order to not let her slip away from his arms.

"I don't think so, Uncle," Bennett said with a straight face.

Michael frowned unhappily and before he would resist, his second daughter jumped in, "Dad... Bennett is right, let's take the sister inside first. Look, she is all drenched."

At the words of her step-sister, Sandy, Hazel couldn't help but roll her eyes and somehow Bennett caught her doing that but still stayed tight lips all the way to her room.

"Bennett, you are all wet, let me help you to get clean," Sandy said in concern, and nodding his head Bennett left with Sandy.

Soon, an old woman entered with a maid, and they changed Hazel's clothes while Hazel stayed in her character.

When the maid left, the old woman moved her wheelchair near Hazel's bed, she looked at her for a moment, and then a light slap landed on her cheek.

Paa

"Ouch... Granny..." Hazel squealed in pain and looked at her Granny with hurtful eyes.

"You little moron, why did you do that, huh? What if something happened to you?" She asked, looking worried.

"Huh, nothing was going to happen to me, Granny. I am a tough bone." Hazel said over confidently showing her perfect white teeth in a grin.

"What would you gain by doing that, huh?" The old woman asked, looking displeased by her silly attempt.

"Just wait and watch," Hazel said with glittering eyes and her granny rolled back her eyes in worry as she knew great trouble was going to arrive soon.

EE -- OO-- EE -- OO

"They're here," Hazel said excitedly and then laid back on the bed pretending to be unconscious.

Just a moment later, the old woman heard the loud footsteps coming towards the door and then the sound of the cursing of her son.

"Hazel..." He growled as soon as he entered the room.

"She can't hear you, She is still unconscious." His mother snapped at him and he scoffed.

"This useless and unconscious granddaughter of yours has called the police outside, they wanted to see her and be sure that she is safe or..." He stopped as he eyed Hazel with cold and indifferent eyes.

"Or what?" The old woman raised her brow.

"Or they would be taking me and Betty in custody for causing any harm to her." He revealed.

BOOM

The old woman looked at him in shock and then at Hazel, she took a deep breath to calm down her nerves. She never knew that one day Hazel would do such a thing to send her father to prison.

But what can she say? Hazel had been a loveless child, she never saw her mother and her father, instead of living under the same roof he never looked at her with love.

Sighing, the old woman spoke wisely, "Ask the groom's family to leave and never show their faces again to us. Hazel will be out in a minute."

Her words took Michael aback as he looked at his mother with doubtful eyes, "Don't tell me, it was your planning?" He raised his brow, his face showed displeasure.

"Bloody Moron, are you out of your mind? Why would I send my son and daughter-in-law to jail?" The old woman scolded him at his stupid question and immediately Michael sobered up.

"Fine, I am sending back the groom's family, send her down in a minute," Michael announced and then stormed out of the room.
