When your fiancé gets a promotion, you should be happy for him right. You should be ecstatic that your fiancé is moving up in his career yet i am the complete opposite.

As much as I'm proud of Henry getting his big promotion I'm not overly excited about it. Because Henry has recently taken more time in perfecting his career rather than the girl he proposed to the other month.

Henry used to be adventurous and would bring so much light to our relationship but now, he seems to only be interested in his work and not me.

I try and surprise him by bringing either lunch or dinner and planning spontaneous trips but he just shoots me down every time I try.

I don't think this trip I organised was going to end positively. I planned for us to go to Ireland and do a lot of exciting activities since this is what we always used to do. This was very familiar to how we soent most of our first dates. I met him whilst on my gap year and we were both really into the adventurous travelling.

Hiking up high mountains, swimming in beautiful lakes and even backpacking around the country.

But when I see his retreating back on this mountain I started to really believe that I could no longer marry this man. He wasn't the man I fell in love with. I grew up with no parents and a distant family that I barely got to see. He was the one I had and I'm afraid I'm making the biggest mistake of my life.

"well fuck you then Henry, leave me on this fucking mountain then" I shout after him as he walks away looking for some damn connection with his phone.

We went from vlogging with each other to him dragging me to these stupid high profile events where snobby boring Socialites talk about their net worth.

I realised I was stranded up here for over an hour now, it was turning dark and gloomy and the rain was pounding down from the sky. I finally reached a cabin that looked like it had a lot of warm fire and electricity that would heal my already cold and shivering body.

I barely got close to knocking on the large cabin door when it swung open and a tall elderly man who looked to be in his 60's stood in front of me. He had a walking stick in his one hand and a phone in his other.

It's very weird seeing old people with phones but that's how the world is now.

"dear god, please come inside it's too cold for you to be outside in this thunder storm" he says pushing the door wide open leaving me to catch a glimpse of the cosy cabin.

What I would do to get in there.

I look up at the sky and laugh to myself. "it's just a little cold nothing major" he casts me a funny look before laughing openly with his head tilted back.

I loved the sound of his throaty laugh and sounded a lot like my dad's laugh from what I rememberrd anyway.

After much deliberation, I made my way inside the cabin, I was instantly hit with the feeling of warmth from the fire that was heating up the centre of the room.

A blanket was instantly wrapped around my shoulders I was impressed with his hospitality as I saw him making me a special drink that looked a lot like hot chocolate. He even had marshmallows, the whole shebang.

I took the mug quickly when I noticed him struggling to walk towards me with his bad leg.

"I've just had a hip replacement" he says noticing me eying his walking stick. I wasn't going to ask but he told me anyway.

"what are you even doing up in the mountains anyway?" he asks me. We were sitting on a sofa in his cabin and he was also drinking a hot chocolate. It's quite strange to see an old man drinking hot chocolate out of a mug that was decorated with kittens.

He laughed when I was giving him a suspicious look.

"I was here with my fiancé, I wanted to get a video of the scenery when it started to rain heavily and he left to find help I guess" I say lowering my voice. I'm not going to tell him he ditched me so he could call back his client.

My role is to protect him, protect his reputation even if it means lying to people's faces. I've done it multiple times to his mother so saying it to a stranger is nothing.

"I think I saw him, poor boy had his phone up in the air" he shows me the exact position and I know that it was Henry.

"yep that's him alright" I trace the shapes on the mug in my hands and tried to forget the fact that my fiancé didn't really care for my wellbeing.

"where are you travelling from" he asks me.

I look up at him "London" he seems surprised at first.

"The big city oh how I miss London" my eyes flick up. I'm surprised he lived in London before. I just imagined that he had lived here for a long time I mean his accent is very strong.

"Thinking about it I could probably make a call and get you out of here" he says as he begins to get up off the sofa, retrieving his mobile phone from the coffee table. I watch him move and place the phone against his ear.

"second door on the right" he mumbles to me when I ask for the toilet if I am going to get out of here.

When I finished my business, my phone vibrated from my breast pocket. I was thankful that I finally had service.

When I unlocked my phone, my twitter was going a bit crazy, there were tweets about my darling fiancé. I opened pictures of him at a local airport he had people following him. My mood dropped when I saw that he hadn't even bothered to come and find me.
