"My apologies, but I'm married!"

"Miss Wen, forgive me for asking, but since you're married, why are you still here on a blind date?"

Face flushed in embarrassment, Rihanna Wen explained, "My friend thinks I have a terrible relationship with my husband, so she set me up to this."

At the start, she had already told her best friend, Yvonne Zhou, that she was married.

Yet, Yvonne had dismissed Rihanna's words with the excuse that she hadn't seen a single man around Rihanna in the past three years, so she must be lying.

That was why she had forcefully set Rihanna up on a blind date.

"Since you're already here, why don't we have a cup of coffee together?"

Although the sentence was phrased like a question, his request sounded irrefutable.

Rihanna wanted nothing else but to leave. However, she remembered Yvonne had introduced a partner to her with good intentions.

She suppressed the discomfort she felt and remained in her seat, wearing a polite smile on her face.

When the man placed their orders, Rihanna couldn't help sneaking for her mobile phone and sending a message to Yvonne to ask where she found her blind date.

As the clock ticked by after her text was sent, Yvonne failed to reply to her.

The man stared at Rihanna, unblinking, his eyes full of amusement.

"Ah, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Christiano Ji."

Rihanna did not know what his name entailed.

Her company had recently been acquired by a big shot.

Her work kept her busy all day long. If Yvonne hadn't called her, she would have gone straight home to sleep after work.

"Nice to meet you, Mr. Ji," Rihanna gave a polite greeting in response.

Her reaction affirmed Christiano's suspicion that she had failed to recognize him.

He found it interesting that she had not the faintest idea about who he was!

With an eyebrow raised, Christiano locked his narrowed eyes on her, his gaze swirling with a hint of danger.

"Miss Wen, you've never met your husband, have you?"

His question, that came from nowhere, shocked Rihanna.

Her instinctive reaction was to blurt out in reply, "How did you know that?"

Christiano flashed a mysterious smile at her, keeping quiet.

Rihanna frowned. She had kept such a private matter a secret, even from her close friends. How did a stranger like him find out about it?

With her privacy exposed in such a way, her heart was thumping in anxiety, and she felt as if she had been stripped naked.

With another glance at her phone, she found she had yet to receive a reply from Yvonne.

Rihanna could no longer sit still, so she apologetically spoke, "Mr. Ji, I'm really sorry about today's incident. I won't waste your time any longer. It's getting late, so I shall take my leave."

She picked up her bag and calmly walked towards the door.

Standing at the door, Rihanna took her phone out and was about to hail a cab when a Lamborghini pulled to a sudden stop in front of her.

Slowly, the window wound down to reveal Christiano's striking side profile.

He gestured, "Get in. I'll send you home."

Rihanna was reluctant to have anything to do with Christiano.

Before she even had the chance to reject his offer, Christiano had opened the car door for her like a gentleman.

"It's dangerous for a woman to be alone outside so late at night!"

Not allowing any room for rejection, Christiano grabbed her wrist and pulled her into the car.

Rihanna thought to herself, "Personally, I think you're more dangerous than anything else!"

Every minute and second she spent with him was torture and Rihanna wanted to stay as far away from him as she possibly could.

She suppressed the anger in her heart, deciding against angering Christiano.

"Where's your place?" Christiano lazily asked, his eyes fixed on the road ahead of him.

"Cloud One."

After giving him her address, Rihanna fell silent, reluctant to talk to him anymore.

It took them a total of 15 minutes to arrive at their destination.

Before getting out, Rihanna thanked him crudely before turning around to open the car door.

To her surprise, the car door was locked. Despite her frantic attempts to pull at it, it failed to budge.

Christiano leaned back against his seat with a faint smile at the corner of his lips. With his head tilted slightly, his deep gaze directed towards her was intoxicating to look at.

"Are you that desperate to never see me again?"

Rihanna's heart started palpitating, and the blush on her face grew by every second. As she tried her best to remain composed, she refuted, "Mr. Ji, our meeting was purely a coincidence. It's not surprising that we'll never see each other again after this."

With his eyebrows raised, Christiano remarked, "What a pity then."

He leaned closer to Rihanna's face and whispered softly into her ear, "After all, you look a lot like my wife."

"Shameless!" Rihanna chided before she impatiently demanded, "Let me out!"

She did not forget to warn him, "If you don't let me out, I'll call the police!"

Christiano let out deep chuckle, "Even if the police came, they wouldn't have the guts to interfere in our affairs."

In the next second, he grabbed her wrist. Without having anything to support her, she was caught off guard. Tumbling forwards, her lips met with Christiano's own.

Rihanna was stunned for several seconds. By the time she came to herself, a slap was sent flying across the man's face.

"You pervert!"
