Osiris Ramsey and a skeleton were having a candlelight dinner.

The square marble table reflected the eerie light and shadows as Osiris meticulously cut the steak and lifted it to the white skeleton. "I remember you like it medium-rare."

Jolene Murphy had never seen him as gentle as he was right then, or rather, she had never seen such a side of him when she was alive.

The white skeleton was her remaining body after death.

Someone had sewn up her mouth with a thread, nailed her into a dark red coffin, and forcefully bound her soul to that endlessly dark underground.

Unimaginably, the day came when Osiris brought her decaying body home and worshipped it like a god.

However, when she had been alive, he had avoided her as if she were venomous.

When he brought out her corpse, she saw his eyes turn red as if he was shedding tears of blood.

"Why? Why did you become this way even though I've distanced myself from you…"

"Had I known, I would never let you leave me!"

His voice trembled, filled with heartache and self-blame.

His bloodshot eyes and veins protruding from the back of his hand left Jolene momentarily stunned.

"Osiris, didn't you hate me? Why are you acting this way now?" Her soul hid behind a crystal curtain, murmuring silently.

The next second, an even more shocking scene appeared.

Osiris took off his suit, leaned over the skeleton, and kissed its lifeless bones without hesitation.

Osiris was an absolute madman!

From the corner of her spectral eyes, two rows of tears slid down.

That continued for many days.

Osiris held the skeleton from morning till night, expressing his never-ending love, kissing her forehead amidst varying romantic candles and pastries.

Everyone said he had gone mad.

Only Jolene felt unbearably heartbroken for him as his body grew thinner and the light in his eyes dimmer.

Until one day, he fainted next to her skeleton.

A mysterious charlatan appeared and saved him, telling him, "As long as you drape your skin over your loved one's skeleton, you can resurrect her."

As soon as these words were uttered, Osiris nodded without hesitation.

With that, he handed the dining knife to the charlatan, letting the charlatan strip his skin off.

"Stop it! Osiris, don't believe his nonsense! I can't be saved! You're trading your life for no reason!" Jolene was almost driven mad by anxiety.

Unfortunately, he couldn't hear her voice, and there was a faint smile on his face.

Blood flowed like a river as his flesh separated from his bones.

Jolene watched helplessly as more and more charlatans appeared, throwing away Osiris's skin, holding his skeletal frame in mid-air and exclaiming, "Excellent! This one-of-a-kind dragon bone!"

Her heart grieved as she faded into unconsciousness, and her soul evaporated in an instant...

"Osiris, don't..."

She woke up from the boundless darkness, instinctively calling his name, but the scene before her eyes was not the bloody marble.

Instead, she was in a hotel room with a bed filled with torture tools.

There was a continuous sound of running water in her ears.

Jolene raised her chin slightly and looked towards the nearby bathroom. The frosted glass was covered in water vapor, and it reflected the image of a plump old man.

Her heart skipped a beat. She remembered the scene of that man walking towards her with a towel and his protruding belly.

That had happened when she was merely eighteen years old.

What was going on? Had she been reborn?

The sound of water gradually disappeared, and the bathroom door opened. The man came out, sweeping his lecherous eyes over her body. "Little beauty, you can't wait any longer, can you? I'm coming to pamper you…"

Jolene's eyes dimmed as she watched him approach.

If she remembered correctly, up next...

The man let out a cry, and he fell to the ground like a statue.

His body started convulsing, and he was foaming at the mouth.

As expected, he had a stroke, just like in her memories!

Jolene started panting. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a female ghost clad in red floating behind the dead man in a corner.
