  BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP !

“Arghh” Amanda tossed and turned trying to drown out the annoying noise coming from her alarm clock. She’s always had sensitive and very strong hearing. She’s never known why and eventually got use to it.

As a kid it had its perks, she would always hear her mums foot steps at night when she would come and check if she was sleeping at night. They lived in the city then and all the noise from people, cars, alarms she could hear it as if she was right there. It all started when she was 10. She never told anyone not even her mum she would just over react. You could say she was very protective maybe a little to protective. She would even come and check on me at school during her lunch breaks from the hospital, she was a doctor in training currently a nurse. The older I got the better it got. But let’s not forget the training I have to do every morning at 5am starting with my run. Which I actually enjoy. I don’t find it as torture like my best friend Abby would. I tend to always stray towards the park route I just love being around nature, instead of around the block. We moved to a more suburban area in one of those small towns, you know where nothing happens I prefer it though more peaceful at night. After my run I head back home and get ready for training . I cook breaky for me and mum because she normally walks in just as I’m eating, from her 16hour shift. I make bacon, eggs, sausages, mushrooms, toast and onions. I know I’ve always been a big eater. My best friend Abby doesn’t know where it goes, I would say my body is in good shape. I’m blonde with tan skin and blue eyes. Just like clock work. Mums home. “Hey mum how was work?”

“Morning honey argh it was fine same old you know, it smells good what did you make, I’m starving!”

Amanda laughed and placed their plates on the table.

  “The usual mum come eat”

Amanda started eating really fast as she was in a hurry to make it to training on time, otherwise coach will be making her do drills, they are never easy.

“Honey slow down you might choke!”

“I’m fine mum I gotta go I can’t be late again”

She rushed out towards the front door and quickly turned around to give her mum a hug.

“Bye mum love you, make sure you rest “

“Bye Manda. Ohh hey I won’t be home when you get back so lock the doors and text me when your home love you”

  “Ok bye mum”

It was quite a brisky morning but any how I started my car and reversed out of my driveway. As I was driving along the street I noticed how quiet it was one of the reasons I like leaving early people are still sleeping or waking up. I made my way to to our MMA gym it’s about a 10min drive from home. I parked my car locked it and began to walk up the stairs, I’ve never been a fan of elevators small spaces just aren’t my friend. Just in time 5:55am, training starts at 6am no drills today. I get changed into my gear and start wrapping my hands, I get this intoxicating smell of pine and cinnamon, I don’t know why but something seems familiar and safe about it. I ignore it and race out of the changing rooms. I reach the mat and notice there’s a new member and god damn he’s HOT!. I’ve never been one to get distracted by guys, I mean I’m 17 and just never really thought about guys in that way. Omg I’m heating up am I blushing?, ok stop staring Focus Manda! .
