The Mayor was sweating. His tie felt like it was choking him even though he knew it wasn't. It was the chart he was staring at.

'How could the numbers be so low?' Cain grabbed at the knot on his tie and pulled it down.

Hoping for some relief on his throat, but none came. He didn't understand? How was this happening?

"At this rate of decline… it's not if they will wake up… it's when." He murmured. One might thinkit was stupid to worry about how such a thing as the escalated rate of single women. But their country had a secret. Below the ground, somewhere on their island, sleep a group of supernaturals. He didn't have the details anymore. But it was a secret past from leader to leader. They only awoke when the number of singles was vastly high, and from these charts. He gritted his teeth and stood up fast. He pushed his desk chair away and started to pass back and

further behind his desk. He had put in a rush request a week ago for new numbers. Indeed those numbers should have changed. Valentines' day had just passed. The day of romance. The day is dedicated to couples and coupling.

"Where are they with the new numbers?" He growled. It shouldn't take this long. Then again, there were a lot of people living here. Soon his door opened, and there stood the new hire panting and sweating as she leaned on the door.

"I'm so sorry, sir. It took longer to get the Numbers than we thought." She soon walked over and handed them out. He snatched them harshly from her hands, making the poor girl flinch. His panicked hazel eyes ran over the chart before he got to the numbers; he glanced up at the

  woman.

"Nina, Right? What did you markdown?" He asked. She was a good looking girl, a little on the sight side, though. She had a small curse. Long black hair pulled up into a ponytail; her eyes were a very pale green, almost a bit haunting to look at. Her skin was smooth and just a little

pinker than pale. She had a shy and low confidence personality, which was hard to deal with at times. Nina tinted from the embarrassment of the question. She pulled down on her shirt down straighten it out and gave her eyes somewhere else look.

"I'm single." Her voice was weak and sounded like a bell. But still, that was not the answer he was looking for. Cain looked up at her before looking back down at the papers.

"Go find someone to date for crying out loud!" He nearly yelled at her. Nina glared at him but didn't say anything as she left him to his madness. He soon went back to the numbers, and whathe saw nearly had him fall over. The numbers had almost doubled. Where the heck have these

people been hiding?! Slowly the man moved and sat down in his chair in defeat. He turned his chair and looked outside. "Well, that's it then..." He whispered. He wasn't sure what to think of this, but he hoped the gods showed mercy.

Somewhere, in a place far above from the world below. A young goddess dressed in a white silk kimono was humming a cheerful tone. Her long white hair was mostly pulled up into an elegant bun being held by 7 ornate hairpins. The longer strands of hair in the back were curled into ringlets. Her bangs were swept off to the side. Her bright blue eye shined with her happiness.

Just then, a shadow flew over her head make the woman lookup. A raven circled her before landing down on the railing. It held a note in its beck.

"Could it be..." She hadn't checked in on them in so many years. She reached out and took the note. "Thank you." She smiled and watched it take flight before opened the letter—just a simple message is written in Ito's hand.

  "They are awake."

Yin stared for a moment before letting out a breath. She then rolled it back up, slipped it into

her sleeve, and turned and faced her pond. She lifted a hand and willed the water. Two spheres of water came up swimming inside where two koi. Two of the few koi that managed to make it to her pond.

"Listen, dears… a group of supernaturals will finally be waking up today. I need you two to introduce them to the new era. Now, remember they have been asleep for a long time, so you may need to pass along your knowledge of the language to make things easier." As she spoke,

the koi listened, and soon their forms glowed bright white. Then started to change shape. In a matter of moments, the koi fish had taken on the body of small children. Both of them had brown eyes. One was a boy. He had a bowl shape hair cut, but his hair was of two colors, white and orange. He wore a traditional Japanese hakama, in the shades of black and white. The other

was a girl. Her hair was shoulder length and had a fringe, and like the boys, it was orange and white. She wore a Yukata. White and black and a sheer white sash rested over her arms and floated above her head. The goddess set them on the bridge and released her hold on the

water. Making the waterfall between the places of wood and back into her pond.

"I hope I made myself clear." The goddess gave a smile to the two of them. The children nodded and gave big goofy grins.

"Of course Goddess Yin." With that, they both vanished. She sighed lightly and looked back to her pond.

"What will they choose... at the end of all of this?" She asked herself quietly.

The koi had ended up and a dense part of the forest on the island. They both looked right and left.

"I think this is the path Niko." The boy stated to the girl. She turned her brown eyes to the barely visible beaten path and grinned.

"I think you're right, Ryuu." She took his hand, and they both ran down the path.

"It's a very long path Niko." He glanced around the luxuriant foliage of the forest.

"Indeed, Ryuu." The girl looked around as well. "No one has been down this path in many centuries." She looked forward again.

It took some time, but it wasn't long till the cave. The children both blinked a few times and stepped into it. It was dark and damp.

"They should be in the back, Niko."

"You're right, Ryuu." As they walked deeper and deeper into the cave, a blue glow started to illuminate it. Crystals had lined the walls and lead them to where the supernaturals had slept.

Once they stepped into the room, the moisture had disappeared from the air. A fire had started in the middle of the room, and already three of them were awake.

One turned his head sharply. Black eyes glared at the children.

  "Quis es?"

Who are you?

The boy tilted his head slightly, letting the words since into his mind. Allowing it to rotate the words till he smiled.

"Ah, I believe he is speaking Latin, Niko."

"Your right Ryuu." The black-haired back knitted his brows together.

  "Quid est lingua?"

What is this language?

The girl looked up at him and smiled kindly at him.

  "Latina suus 'vocavit."

It's called English.

Ryuu answered. He soon looked to his sister. Niko let

go of his hand and stepped forward.

"Quod dea Yin misit nos hic. Vocant Damianos estis?"

The Goddess Yin sent us. Are you the one

  called Damianos?

The man blinked a few times. After hearing the Goddess's name, he relaxed and looked down at the ground.

  "Quod dea Yin."

The Goddess Yin.

The mysterious man murmured to himself. He then looked back to the kids. "Ego sum ille vocavit Damianos."

I am the one called Damianos.

Niko smiled.

"Nos have a donum tibi. Hoc erit auxilium vobis intelligere et cum aliis communicare, in hoc era. Is mos sumeret tempus transferre notitia in his omnibus vobis. Sed dixi vobis opus Yin dea est."

We have a gift for you. It will help you understand and communicate in this new era. It will take time to transfer this information to you all. But Goddess Yin said you needed it.

The man watched the girl and nodded his head.

Finally, it was time to get revenge. These disgraceful males will ultimately be judged.
