I am that type of student who is usually alone. I don't have any friends here, even acquaintances seem to be impossible for someone like me.

"It's cool right? It's funny." I said as I  chuckled. I look at a girl who is walking with her head down. I looked at Sushi and patted her head before letting her go to fly. She will look after her for the mean time since I need to attend my class. Sushi is a wounded bird I found a few weeks ago, she keeps on coming into me so I usually talk to her even though I am not even sure if she can understand me or not. I even named her.

"I need to go back." I mumbled to myself as I stood up and fixed my uniform and stretched my hands upward. I usually talk to myself here since nobody likes to talk to me here. I respect their wishes, after all, nobody would really like to talk to someone like me who just brings misfortune.

I knew for sure that Mrs. Right was inside. I can hear her reading the attendance sheet. I again fixed my uniform as I opened the door. Everyone in the class  looked at me. Some of them even rolled their eyes.

"Where did you go this time?" Mrs. Right said. She is our literature teacher and I must say that she lives up to her name. Mrs. Right is never Wrong. Kidding, I'm not even good at giving jokes to myself. Lame.

"I'm sorry, Mrs. Right. I feel asleep during lunch time." I politely said while rubbing the back of my head. She inhaled and exhaled deeply as she pointed her hands to my seat. I immediately went to my seat before she changed her mind. Mrs. Right is the type of professor who takes every single thing seriously. Maybe that is the reason why no one tries to play tricks on her or go against her rules. I take my seat as she continues to discuss our lesson. As I stare at Mrs. Right who is writing something on the board, I think of how she looks like getting old every day. Probably because she always frowns as if everyday is a bad day. I can't blame her for being bitter about life, she was left by her Mr. Right pregnant which caused her to unwillingly give her child away. I don't understand destiny too, it keeps on letting us to meet people who do not even stay with us until the end. Anyway, she will eventually meet her daughter soon. I smiled at myself as I gazed into the open window next to me. The girl I used to watch earlier is Mrs. Right's daughter. She is that little girl she left alone in an orphanage. Luckily, her child transferred her just today who will attend her next class later. She knows how her daughter looks, so something interesting will surely happen later.

"What are you laughing at, Asha?" I looked at Mrs. Right as I shook my head to sign "none". I can feel some of my classmates gazing at me. It's ok to be called crazy by them, it's not like I can do something about it and this is the only fun thing about my curse.

"Let her be, Mrs. Right. No doubt, she did not take her medicine today." Sica said, making an unfriendly face while looking at me with disgust. I divert my attention to Mrs. Right who seems to be discussing again. I am not crazy, I am just ill-fated or at least that is how I believe it. Teacher Killian, my grade school teacher who also adopted me at least a decade ago said that what I have is a gift. She said that my ability to see the future is a good gift. I do believe her sometimes but I doubt it sometimes especially during this dire moment where people stare at me like I am some sort of mutant.

I think I was in first grade when I found out about this ability. I am not even aware that what I saw is a premonition already.

"Dad, who is the uncle with a gun with him doing like this, bang bang?" I ask my father as he zip his coffee demonstrating how an uncle wearing black playing with a gun. He looked at me with confusion, then my mother laughed at me playfully.

"Hahaha... What are you imagining this time? Are you still dreaming? Come on, just eat your food." She said as she smiled at me. She fixed the foods inside my plate.

"No, I'm not drea..." I was about to say that I am not dreaming but my father interrupted me.

"Finish your food, Asha." He calmly said so I nodded. I like to tell them that it's scary. The two of them are sleeping with so much blood with them. I finished my food because I am afraid that my father will be mad at me for talking so much. Right after we ate and fixed ourselves, my father drove me to school then he went back home since he said that he forgot that he had a meeting that day too. I liked to stop him for unknown reasons back then, but I did not.

It was after lunch that day when my teacher hugged me for an unknown reason. She hugged me and I cried at me.

"Why are you crying, teacher?" my young self said. Well, if I can go back in time instead of seeing things which I cannot change, I will hit my head with a stone then for being naïve.

"Everything will be okay, Asha." She said patting my back as she is still hugging me. She was my favorite teacher back when I was in grade school and up until now. She is literally the best. I just nodded my head even though I wasn't able to understand a thing. She continued to cry for a moment before she fixed herself and went back to my other classmates. Ah, now I am remembering how someone can cry for me.

Later that day, all of my classmates were fetched by their parents. Teacher Killian is locking the classroom's door. I reach for her clothes.

"Teacher, did my father call you?" I asked which made her stop from locking the door. She looked at me and smiled then she continued on locking the door.

"Let's go?" she said as she reached out her hand.  I nodded as I held her hand and followed her. I was happy back then since I felt special, my teacher is going to drive me home or so I thought. We did not go to our house, we went into my Aunt, Aunt Jina who is my Mother's cousin. They are talking into each other and I did not listen because my Mother told me not to eavesdrop. After all, they are murmuring into each other.

"Asha, you will stay here with your Aunt Jina." She said, giving me an assuring smile. I nodded as I asked her softly too. I think that is the most stupid question I ever asks before. I shouldn't have asked it.

"Teacher, are they bathing on their own blood?" I asked innocently which makes her step backwards, away from me. She looks so worried.

"How- how did you know?" she asked.

"I saw it earlier." I said as I showed them a drawing I have in my bag. "I told them about it. Did they take a bath already? Isn't blood sticky? When will they fetch me here?" I asked them several questions but both of them did not answer me. Instead, they are crying in front of me. I really don't have any idea back then that my parents are not playing with that random uncle whom I can't even remember his face. I stayed with Aunt Jina for  a couple of months, she was kind to me but things changed when terrible things started to happen to their family.

"I can't take care of that child anymore. She is a monster!" she shouted as she pointed her index finger at me.

"Please don't say that, Jina. She is your niece." Teacher Killian said. She just went there since I wasn't able to attend my classes for several days. I was locked into my room, my Aunt Jina told me that time that the room is locked and she doesn't have the key.

"Can't you see? That child is a monster. She told me that my husband will be fired from his work and look at him now being jobless. Earlier, she told me that she saw Diz being hit by a truck! What if it happens? That child is a curse." She angrily said. I am telling the truth that time, I really saw my cousin, Diz, being hit by a delivery truck when I woke up so I immediately told it to Aunt Jina when she gave me my food earlier from that small hall below the door which is meant for the dog.

"Where is your son?" Aunt Killian said with a worried face. My Aunt stopped for a moment, thinking about it, maybe she realized that she just let his son go.

"Outside, she has a date with his girl..."

Teacher Killian interrupted her. "Why did you let him go outside? You know that it is not a curse, she is warning you to..." she wasn't able to finish her words too. The phone rings which gives a very heavy atmosphere for everyone. I am just looking at them. It happened.

"Diz! Oh, my son! No..." I covered my ears. My Aunt's cries so loud calling my cousin's name. I stared blankly into the wall covering my ears when my Aunt went inside my room and slapped me. She slapped me really hard.

"You are a  monster! You killed my son!" she yelled at me as she pushed me several times towards the wall. It hurts, it does. I am so young back then but that memory is so vivid to me.

"Stop, stop it, Jina," Teacher Killian said covering me from my Aunt's anger.

"Bring that curse child with you or  I will kill her. Bring that monster away!" She said as she threw my books to us. Teacher Killian covered me using her own body.

"It is not Asha's fault, Jina. She warned you." Teacher Killian said.

"No, get out! Get that monster away from here!" She yelled at us. She pushes us outside her house. My Aunt is crying loudly, Teacher Killian is crying so much as she hugs me and I was there, staring at her face. Why can't I cry too?

I was woken up from reminiscing when I noticed that none of my classmates nor Mrs. Right is here. I was left alone in the room. It seems like I fell asleep for a while and nobody bothered to wake me up. I stand up and stretch my arms and legs. I saw Sushi standing in the opened window. Sometimes, animals are much more thoughtful than us.

"Since when are you her? Why didn't you wake me up?" I asked her. Of course she did not answer me except with some tweeting sounds. What do I expect, right?

"What do you think happens to Mrs. Right and to her daughter?" I asked Sushi as I walked outside the classroom holding her carefully. It's unfortunate that I wasn't able to see the live event. Did they reconcile already?

"Ah, I'm curious, Sushi." I giggled to myself. I should have the power to talk to animals instead of seeing the future. It is definitely better. I went outside the campus, it is night time already, probably around 7 pm. I am sure that Teacher Killian is worrying about me already. I have been leaving with her for so long, she adopted me as her daughter ever since Aunt Jina decided to kick me out of her house. I am not mad at her though, I understand her. Who would like to take care of someone like me. I must hurry up, I can imagine her walking several times to our living room because of worry.

"Hey, Sushi." I called her name since she flew away out of nowhere. What happened to that bird?

"Don't act cool here!" somebody shouted. It sounds like a guy. I walk quietly as I peek into a narrow alley. There are 4 guys there.

"Tsk!" a guy who is holding his right stomach uttered. I can't see their faces from here.

"You, arrogant bastard!" A guy with a metal tube said with annoyance. He was about to hit the other guy with his metal tube when I shouted. I shouted with all my might.

"Police officer, here! They are here!" I shouted as I acted like I was talking to someone from the unseen part of the alley. They all looked at me as the three of them cursed me and ran away. One of them even threw the metal tube harshly toward my feet but it did not hit me. Cursing someone who is a curse is not hurtful at all.

"I am just kidding." I chuckled as I softly said to the guy who is still holding the right side of his stomach.

"Are you still alive?" I ask instead of asking him if he is alright. He looked at me harshly as he stood up and walked away. What a weird guy. He doesn't even thank … I stopped from what I am thinking when I realized something.

"That guy... he doesn't have any future. Literally, blank space."
