His eyes gazed around the horde of zombies. There are hundreds of zombies lurking around the street but none of them bothered him.

"Where's the pharmacy again?" he murmured to himself while checking the map on his hands as he is still walking on the street.

He just obtained the map from the chopped body of a zombie who wore a military uniform.

"Is it that one?" he asked doubtfully to himself as he scrutinized the almost collapsed building of Mercury Pharmacy.

He slowly approached the entrance and peeked inside. He saw fifteen zombies inside. There are five zombies at the counter while ten zombies surrounded the shelves.

Instead of hiding himself, he directly walked inside the pharmacy. Ten zombie groans looked so hungry but there's nothing here that could attract them.

Alex leisurely stood in front of the counter while his eyes widened. His eye vision changed to 40 times vision range which let him see the labels on each medicine items.

He only focused on the medicine and didn't bother the zombies around him.

Then, he found the medicine items he needed and slowly opened the door, which leads inside the counter. The ticked sound of doorknob caught the attention of the fifteen zombies. He paused and looked back at he fifteen zombies as he waited to their responds.

His eyes showed his astonishment when he saw them turning back at him. He began doubting himself.

"So, sounds cannot fully get their attention?" he asked to himself.

However, he doesn't know that, once zombie heard a sound, zombies instinctively used their smelling sense to find human scents.

"MOMMY! GRANDMAAA!" a little girl's cry echoed throughout the neighborhood and surely attracted many zombies. Alex hides on the wall beside the pharmacy door and looked outside.

He saw the little girl is crying because of horrible appearance of zombies which scared her very much.

Alex knows that he is not a hero nor a villain. His action depends on the situation. The little girl's cry made the zombies restless and was ready to pounce on her. He was about to go out of his hiding place when he suddenly saw a line of sparks shooting from the distance towards the zombies near the little girl.

He was stunned and quickly looked at where the arrow was shoot. Then, his eye vision widened. He saw five men at the rooftop of Scarlet Heart Academy.

The five men are covered with camouflaged military uniform. Alex frowned and decided to pack up the medicine items he found.

He doesn't want to meddle with other people's business. After all, he is not pure-blood human right now.He even doesn't know if he's either a human or a zombie. Getting the attention of military enforces made him panicked.

His movements are quick. He immediately got out of the Mercury Pharmacy and started running towards the alleyway. If he walked on the street filled with zombies, human survivor will surely questioned him why the zombies are not attracted to his scents.

On the other hand, a young man with cold and aloof personality stuck his gaze on the pharmacy. Earlier, he saw another man's silhouette but he's not sure if someone's hiding there.

"Boss, we already deal with the zombie. Sam is now ready to rescued the little girl" a blonde man reported to his boss as he fixed his bow gun. Traditional weapons are useful to today's disaster because guns or armaments produced sounds which always caught the attention of zombies.

The young man nodded and looked back again to the pharmacy. He frowned and shook his head.

So what if someone's hiding there? Not all human survivors want shelter and food from the military.

"Ready the supplies. We will leave in ten minutes" he said to his subordinates.

His three subordinates bowed down as they responded with "Yes, Boss!" while the last one is still rescuing the little girl.

Children are strictly protected by the higher ups because they are the future of human survivors.

Alex sighed a relief when he arrived on his territory. Although his territory doesn't have zombies, the surroundings around his territory are not yet annihilated since it also prevented other humans to approach his territory.

It's been two months since the zombie apocalypse arrived and the world population reduced to 1/4 of previous total of world population.

The main city gained a strong foundation for humans. Many survivors come and go to the city for shelter and food.

The Fernandez Family became the stronghold of human survivors. Ability attributes also started showing among them which reshuffled the hierarchy. Fortunately, all Fernandez Family members awakened their own ability which strengthened their foundation more in the main city.

Even though he wanted to go back to the Fernandez Family, his condition prevented him to take initiative on going back.

He sighed and began recalling the past two months ago when the zombie apocalypse started.

Before the zombie apocalypse started, he was staying inside his own apartment which his wealthy family bought for him. Unlike the novels he read online when the main character was loved or hated by the family, he neither of it.

Although his family is the wealthiest and most powerful family in the nation, he is neither favored nor abandoned. He's the third son of Alejandro Fernandez and Beatrice Sandoval.

He has other four brothers. His first eldest brother is the heir of Fernandez Corporation. His second brother is a famous doctor in Western and Traditional Medicine. His fourth brother is the King of Entertainment Industry. Lastly, his fifth brother is the youngest Military General in today's time.

Well, others thought he was being pressured by his family to be outstanding just like his other brothers but they're wrong.

The Fernandez Family never pressured him to do so. He's neither protected nor neglected but he got everything he needs.

He didn't grow up with his family so he's too distant to them. He just came back five months ago from being kidnapped to missing state until they found him.

So, he requested his family to buy a house for him and they agreed without hesitation. After all, he's still a Fernandez.

After living a carefree life for three months, the zombie apocalypse arrived. Since he was far away from the Fernandez Family territories, he didn't get any protection from his family at all and continued living on his own.

Fortunately, his house is huge and its land is located outside the city. It was an empty land for commerical purposes if the Fernandez Family didn't buy it, it will be developed into a house subdivision for middle class. So,he's glad that he obtained it and even personally designed it to his own preference.

The gate is made up of thicker cemented wall and its height is 30 feet high. The underground room is filled with food stocks. The backyard has a farm filled with vegetables and farm animals.

His house is a mansion good for a huge family. Although it looks so empty, it has everything from solar panels, furnitures, technologies to necessities which are needed to isolate himself from the outside world.

It has everything just to survive by himself without going outside. He is neither have servants nor friends to be with him. It's better this way.

Since the day he came back, he decided to no longer have heartfelt attachment to the secular world and started living in seclusion.

He preferred this way since the day he found out that he entirely different from other people. He's a human but, at the same time, also a zombie.

The next day...

Alex is cooking his favorite dishes from the countryside where he grew up before being found by the Fernandez Family.

Although he cooked one dish - a corn which is done with coconut milk

, it is enough food as a snack for him. However, there is a chopped meat of human rotten brain mixed up in the dish.
