Samantha was super annoyed at her parents for arranging a blind date. It’s not like she didn’t wanted an arranged marriage but she asked them to start was 25 or after she had finished her MS in Neurology but now she had only finished her MBBS and her age was 22. Which she didn’t like she even didn’t like nor wanted to meet that man whom her parents had arranged.

Her mom brought her a saree with matching accessories and 1 metre long flower with a note saying “if you don’t wear this and come you will be a crippled” and she thought “what a drama” the big problem was she didn’t knew how to drape a saree so she tried with the help of YouTube. After 100 times of failure she pestered her mom for half an hour and she finally agreed after Samantha asked after for the17th time. But this was not the first time scenario for her because since she turned 21 this is what often happens. In London every month at least 8 blind dates. The reason that even after a lot of matches that her marriage was not fixed was because of three simple rules. And they are

— height should be 5’11 or more

— birth year should be 2008

— her mom and dad should agree

most of the rejection was because of the third rule

Her mom had finished draping her saree and her hair. Her mom kissed her on the cheeks and said “remind me to take off the evil eyes once everybody leaves”. She saw herself in the mirror and hugged her mom and said “I love you so much mummy” and her mom replied with a smile”love u too darling”

Samantha came down to show herself to everyone. When she went down first her brother Leaka saw her and said “hello miss where is my ugly and stupid sister?” She felt like killing him at that moment but she suppressed her anger and went down where her two aunts and their husbands, her uncle and his wife where sitting with a bunch monkeys she laughed and said “6 monkeys torturing 6 humans” the first to comment was her sister Angel “if there are 6 monkeys sitting here two monkeys are roaming so in total there are 8 monkeys sis” and she said “whatever” with a rolling eyes. First she went to her grandma and she said “you are looking like a angel dear” and then she put a cross on her head and she hugged her grandma and said “I miss a person too much BJ” then her aunts and uncle said “a small girl whom we saw yesterday has grown a lot that even her marriage is near” and she blushed and said “not yesterday but 22 years ago”

The most irritating moment for Samantha came. Mr. whom-her-parents-arranged came with his mom, dad, elder and younger sister, his elder sister’s husband, elder and younger brother and elder brother’s wife.

Her uncle Justin thought “how is she gonna manage this” while he looked at his three sisters also thought about the same and all sighed. Her sister Angel and younger aunt Selena brought her down.

His mother was the first one to look at her and she stunned by her beauty. Samantha was annoyed when she saw too many people and frowned. And asked her aunt “are they here for seeing me or for engagement” and her aunt replied “the two old ones are his parents, 2 sisters and 2 brothers and one sister’s husband and one brother’s wife, and one sister and brother didn’t come” Samantha gave a glare to her and said “a family that can compete my father’s family” and laughed little.

She saw her mom was staring at her coldly and she zipped her mouth at once. She sat between her dad and uncle to avoid her mom and her deathly stares.

All the adults were talking with themselves, after sometimes Samantha changed her seat to sit with a bunch of monkeys and they were chatting without knowing all their moms were staring at them with their deathly cold stares.

Then Mr.whom-her-parents-arranged’s father said “this is not our old generation they should talk with each other and decide” Samantha frowned. Her mom and dad agreed and said “yeah yeah absolutely they need some privacy.” Samantha got up and guided him to her study. After 1 minute of silence, he talked “hi! Im Albert” with bringing his hand forward and she received his hand and replied “Samantha” and a message popped in her phone she excused herself and read the message and laughed a little and typed something and put it down.
