Melanie's POV:

It was Saturday, my first weekend that I've been back home. I just woke up so I stretched my arms yawning.

I looked over at my clock on my night stand checking the time. OMG it's 12:33pm, I was supposed to go out with my bestfriends, Sammy and Josh today since I just got back from college.

I checked my phone to see I have multiple missed calls from both my friends and texts from my ex boyfriend whom I broke up with just before I graduated. I told him I wasn't ready for a relationship and that I was sorry I lead him on for so long. I huff, delete his text and blocked his number.

I called out group chat and both my friends answered immediately.

"What the fuck Mel!" They both shouted at me in unison.

"I'm so sorry guys, I over slept" I explained feeling really bad I stood them up "I have been really tired since I came back."

"We know Mel but if you do it again I'm coming your house and throwing cold water on you." Sammy said laughing at the end.

"I really want to see that." Josh laughed.

"Not funny guys and don't ever do that, either of you." I told them annoyed and unamused of their joke.

"Kinda is." Josh said, both of them still laughing.

"I'm hanging up now"

"No, sorry!" They both shouted in unison.

I swear since we were kids it's like Sammy and Josh were reading each other's minds.

We have been bestfriends since we were 8 and we have been inseparable ever since.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

Someone knocking on my door interrupts my thinking.

"I'll call you guys back, someone's at my door, bye love y'all."

"Bye girl." Sammy says.

"Bye bitch." Josh says.

I laugh at him call me "bitch" while hanging up.

I get up and walk over to my door and open it to see my mother standing in the hallway.

"Morning mom." I say smiling at her.

"Good morning sweetheart, I've made breakfast for you, get dressed and come eat." My mom smiles back.

"Really, thanks mom, I'll be right down!" I exclaim and close my door after my mom nods and walks away.

How I've missed my moms cooking especially breakfast. I walk into my bathroom wondering what she made to eat.

I took a shower, brushed my teeth then went to my walk in closet to get dressed.

I put on a baby blue sundress and my necklace that say "Melanie".
