  ☆ Evie's POV ☆

I woke up with a loud groan hearing my alarm clock go off. I slammed my hand on the damned thing and shut it off bitterly. I trudged my self out of the comfortable sanctuary that I call my bed and walked tiredly to the bathroom that is conveniently across from my room.

I did my business in the bathroom, and washed my face. My mom's voice was then heard calling me, "Evie, hurry and get ready for your first day back to school Sweetie! Also breakfast is ready if you are hungry!" She called out. "Okay Mom I will be there in a sec, just let me get dressed!" I called back. I sighed while looking at my reflection in the mirror above the sink.

Sad blue eyes with bags underneath stared back at me, my blonde hair thrown in an attempt at a cute messy bun but me being me, it manages to look shit. I took down my hair and grabbed my black hairbrush from my drawer. I brushed my hair and kept it down. My hair was the only feature that I liked but even then I was always to self conscious to do anything with it. I always left it laying down, allowing my waist length hair to flow.

I quickly went back to my room and grabbed some light blue skinny Jean's and a black Nirvana T-Shirt, and my favorite black set of Victoria Secret bra and panties that Connor picked out for me. Speaking of the devil, after I got changed my phone started to ring. My face lit up knowing it was my gay best friend Connor Ashby doing our daily morning facetime call.

I grabbed my phone and excepted the call. Connor's light brown eyes and cheeky smile stared back at me. "Morning Girly!" He sang cheery, I rolled my eyes jokingly at my black haired friend and sighed dramatically "How are you always so happy in the morning?" I complained with a groan. He chuckled and flicked some hair out of his eyes. "Because Rosie! We are now in 11th grade, which means we have only two more years to deal with everyone's bullshit and I don't know about you but I am planning on staying optimistic until we leave this hell hole!"

I laughed at him "That's true.. I guess, I still don't want to deal with Tanner though. Plus Con, he doesn't even bully you like he does me. So you cannot say that!" I exclaimed annoyed at my bully since preschool.

He sighed and nodded back "Yeah Yeah, I know but that doesn't mean I don't hate him for hurting you. Plus you know my hate relationship with the wicked bitch of the west, Kelly and I cannot wait to get away from her." I snorted at his personal nickname for Tanner Wilson's whore of a girlfriend.

I agreed with him and we gossiped a bit more before I grabbed my school bag and walked downstairs with my phone in hand to the kitchen. My mom was feeding my 1 year old brother Caleb in his highchair, he squealed when he saw me and made grabby hands at me. She turned and looked over at me with a smile. "Morning Mom." I stated softly and kissed her cheek, then kissed all over Caleb's face making him giggle "Good Morning Mom!" Connor yelled through the phone to my mother. He called my mom his mom since he started talking as a baby, so it's just normal now, even his own mom is used to it.

My mom chuckled at Connor and I turned the screen so she could see him. "Good Morning Hunny! Ready for 11th grade?" He nodded rapidly in response, "You know it! Two more years left!" He said while pumping his fist in the air excitedly. We both giggled at my best friend, then he had to say bye cause he had to come and pick me up for school. "See you in a few babe!" I smiled at him "Okay see ya!" We hung up and I grabbed an apple to munch on for breakfast.

My mom glanced at me while feeding Caleb, "You sure you don't want anything else for breakfast? I made pancakes for you." I smiled weakly at my mother and shook my head "No sorry mom, I'm just not hungry right now. But thanks anyways." She gave me a concerned gaze. I just shrugged and gave her a softer smile to reassure her that I'm fine. Ever since dad walked out, and divorced Mom after finding out about Caleb, she has been more stressed having to be a single mom of two kids, and working as an Author.

I try not to let my mom worry about me because I know the stress and exhaustion she is going through, you can see it all in her face. Endless, and constant stream of bags under her dull blue eyes from the lack of sleep, pale sunken face that seemed to have aged even more since the divorce.

A honk outside the house interuppted my thoughts. My eyes brightened and I smiled wider at my mom knowing it was Connor, I gave her and Caleb a kiss on the cheek and left for the hell hole I call Northside High school.
