Lily was teacher of the A University. She just started

　　her teaching career a year ago, but despite of that she became popular because of her intelligence and undeniable beauty. She always do what she wanted and always fight for her right. She's a woman of dignity.

　　After she dismissed her student, Lily was excited to go off to work. She's gonna meet John—her long time boyfriend.

　　She quite missed him fo they haven't met for a week and haven't any stable communication since that day. 

　　'Maybe a surprise?' She told herself. They've been in a relationship for five years. She walk with confidence as she look for the man of his life. Every guys give her a second look, her aura can't deny that she's gorgeous and has the brain.

　　She looked around to look for his man. She saw him in the corner. The guy is busy with his phone that he didn't noticed that she's already in front of him. She even need to fake a cough to get his attention.

　　"Hi." -she greeted him on kiss his cheeks. 

　　"Hello" -he replied. Lily noticed the coldness in his voice , but she just shrugged it of.

　　"So what's up? Why did you call?" -she started the conversation when she noticed he looks nervous. "I miss you honey." -she said and hold John's hand, but the latter removed it. She was shocked. What's going on? She asked her mind.

　　"I'm sorry Lily…" -the guy whispered but enough for her to hear. She frowned as she was confused on what is happening. Why is he apologizing? Why does she see guilt in his eyes?

　　"Sorry? For what?" -she curiously asked. "Please say it directly John. I'm really confused." -despite of the fast beating of her heart she managed to say those words.

　　She has a bad feeling but, she needs answers and truths. She needs clear conversation to cope with this confusing event. She taught this day would be happy for both of them because they misses each other but the guy is giving her this expression?

　　"We should break up." -four words but able to make Lily's world stop. Four words but seems to take away her soul.

　　"Are you serious?" -was the first question she managed to asked. She can't accept the fact that the man she trully loves is breaking up with her. "John, why? Did I make you upset? Have I done something wrong?" -now she's sounds desperate.

　　John shakes his head. "It's just you know I have needs. You're too traditional that I still have to wait for our wedding to do it." - he answered.

　　That's it? He has needs and he's breaking up with me because he has needs? Anger started to grow on Lily, but no she shouldn't be mad. Maybe there's a way to fix this.

　　"Then let's get married." -yes marriage. If the man really want that thing then marriage is the answer. "Let's get married just don't break up with me John." -she holds his hand begging.

　　"Stop Lily. I've decided, just pretend we never met." -how can this man say that they pretend they never met?

　　How did he love this man? How can everything change all of a sudden? This is not John, this is not the man she loves for years.

　　"How can you say that? Have you ever love me John? Why are you calling as off just because of your fucking needs?" -she asked while tears kept falling on her cheeks. "Is it really just that? Or you have found someone else?" -she added. She saw how his eyes bothered with the last question.

　　"So does that woman better than me? Did she meet you your needs?" -she asked again bitterly.

　　"She's pregnant." -nothing was worst than that. She wanted to strangle John but don't have the strength to. She wanted to cussed and give him the most painful word but seems to lost her tongue.

　　Is there anymore painful than this? The man she trully loves betrayed her. "Leave now, I don't want to see you." -she said in low voice.

　　"Lily ..." -John was acting worried but who's he fooling?

　　"I SAID LEAVE!" -she shouted. "NEVER SHOW IN MY FACE EVER AGAIN!" -she added.

　　People are looking at their direction gossiping and all. But she cared less, minding them wouldn't take away her pain, it won't make everything back.

　　John left, and she was there crying her heart out. How could this happen to her? Too many questions in her mind. Too much pain in her heart.

　　People say she's lucky because of her beauty and intelligence. Will they still say she's lucky if the guy he thought of living with forever betrayed her and impregnate other woman?

　　She didn't even know how she managed to go home with her state. Just glad tht her parents wasn't there, she can't answers questions right now. She's tired of what happened. She felt restless, and weak.

　　Why does I have to experience this? She asked herself. She was lost, betrayed and hurt. Lily was an independent and courageous woman but why does it have to turn like this.

　　Life was truly an irony. No one knows what could possibly happen next. One must have courage to face it, must the strength to solve it.

　　But when it's to painful, how is it going to be that way.

　　Lily just cried all her pain. Asking questions. Thinking on where did she lack on her relationship with John. Was it really just the needs? Was she really too conservative and traditional that John wasn't able to wait until marriage and look for someone else?

　　Does every man like that? Do relationship requires to give all the needs of one another? Wasn't it give and take? Trust and patience? Does love has different meaning other on that she knows?

　　That night was full of unanswered questions. Shattered and brokenness of heart. Will she still able to move forward? Will she still able to love?
