The stark vision of darkness dominates the surroundings as it welcomes me to the verge of coldness. The unavoidable onslaught of unexplainable happenings bended the resurrection of this complex fantasies.

As I languidly took my way along this riverside, I felt something familiar, the resonating rhythm of waves from afar made it more dramatic. The complexity of natures' movement seems to be foreign to me.

"It's good to see you again, Amalia," someone from the depths of the illuminating moon, said.

"I'm not here to see you, Alayah," I answered.

I heard her soft laughs. Just like what she said before, no one can beat my astonishing secret I left throughout Neptune, 5 years ago--the mystery between my existence.

I saw a familiar hut, meters away from me. The light from the glowing moon seems to be wreathed in quarter twilight. Just by the glimmer it provides, I saw my one and only friend standing inside the windowless spooky place.

As I came closer, her blue glowing orbs started to sparkle along with her blushing cheeks. I can't say it out loud but her presence in front of me right now makes me reminisce about the old times.

"I'm happy that you're finally back," she said, with her brisk voice.

This lean woman made me miss her more. After how many years of seeking for the unknown, the chasing and wilderness will now end. 5 years of vulnerability and darkness was not quite easy for me. I won't let fear invade me again.

I left my own home and everything that reminds me about the excruciating pain. I included the word 'familiarity' for my sudden plans. I felt the mortification of letting myself act as a softhearted Lieutenant in front of those villains. The bone-deep embarrassment and pain made it tougher for me. I wasn't sure who to trust and tried to decide for something hurted me for years.

"How's the city?" I finally asked her after numerous scowls and hesitations.

"It's all good, Amalia. How about you? How's your journey?" she asked me again.

"I'm fine now. I'm still the same. I'm wondering if something new invaded Neptune while I'm gone," I said as I played with my long nails.

I almost squirmed after I said those words. I'm still the same? No, I'm not. I'm not a fool anymore. I regretted trusting everyone so easily. I was too good for them. I helped them when they needed me. But then, as I was on the road of letting go of my own hand, no one was there. No one helped me. No one tried to fight for me. No one cares.

"Nothing changed except for the fact that our Lieutenant left without any trace and explanation," she sarcastically said.

"You knew, Alayah," I told her with full of certainty.

Among everyone else, she's the only person whom I can trust fully. I never dared to doubt her intentions. She was too nice and yet, full of unreasonable rants. She may not be there when I need someone. She may not be able to save me physically before but she saved me through her love. She's my best friend after all.

"How long are you going to hide the facts, Amalia? Everything got messed up when you vanished. Everyone was confused," she asked me seriously.

"I don't know how and I certainly can't do it," I said bitterly.

Now that I've found the real me, I won't let them twist my fate again. It may come out that I betrayed them but I will never sacrifice myself again. Once is enough to blame my own self. It's now time to choose my own path.

"How I wish that you can tell that directly to my brother," she said with a vast bitterness and hatred.

As I looked directly in her glowing orbs, I felt the familiarity for the first time, after 5 years. She's now lonely, still looking at me with her glimmering eyes.

"Just stop, Alayah. I don't want to talk about it," I said.

Just by hearing his name, no, I haven't heard his name yet but still, I realized that I was never okay when I left this place-when I left him. I came back because I wanted to see him for the last time.

"You'll regret everything if you won't tell them," she hardly uttered before disappearing.

I sighed deeply and longingly held onto my rifle harshly. Living here was my first dream. Being with him was my first goal. Becoming a legendary sniper was my first 'what if'. Now that I've known the truth behind my existence, how can I possibly tell them that I am not who I was before?

A world full of mystery, less hope, less love. More betrayal, hatred and enemies. Will you be able to live in a new world? A new world that will keep you from the truth.

This is Amalia Desi Abrantes. A simple girl with a simple life. I'm living on earth for 19 years but one day, I found myself standing in the middle of a mere situation where I can't remember anything except for my name.

I was lost. I forgot about everything. I changed. I was betrayed by everyone. I trusted them. I was hurt. But then, I fell in love across a bottomless abyss.

I slowly walked towards the sea and sat languidly. I touched the tiny waves. I smiled lightly and moved my hand. I miss this place, I miss everything. When the movement of the cold water became steady, I closed my eyes for a moment and opened it- focusing on my reflection from the clear water. I can see my light-blue orbs, glowing together with the rays of the moon. Something disturbed the steady water, only to find out that it was my tears. I wiped if fastly but the salty water made it worse.

I cried until I couldn't let another tear fall down. I placed my right hand again on the water and turned the whole sea into an ice. I was in the middle of nowhere again, trying to seek for myself. Will I be able to come back? Will they let me enter the city again after everything?

I turned my back from the freezed sea and I suddenly heard the shallow movement of waves again. I abruptly looked back trying to wonder what happened. Did I lose my ability to hold back the effect of my power? As far as I can remember, it will not turn into its original state unless someone melted it on purpose.

The silence that filled the surroundings turned into a messy one. I can now hear again the raging movement of the waves as the sea level started to deepen. What's happening?

I suddenly felt some chills. It's too ironic because of the fact that ice is my power. I held a strong grip on my rifle getting ready to engage myself into a sudden war. Even though I can't see anyone near, I'm sure that there is someone hiding just behind the tall, huge trees. I can feel his or her presence. How can someone find this place? It's too far from the main city. Aside from Alayah, no one knew that I was still alive. Who would dare to attack me in a secluded place like this?

"You're alive," someone said in a dark voice from behind.

In a fast movement, I aimed my rifle towards him but he's nor there. The voice was too familiar for me to forget. How did he manage to find me here?

"Show yourself," I briskly said.

"You're still the same, Amalia. You're easy to find, and easy to deal with," he said and laughed hysterically.

"You're also the same. You can't still fight me alone," I mocked him after seeing some glowing red eyes behind trees. He suddenly appeared in front of me and showed me his irritating smirk.

"Of course, Lieutenant. I can never beat you alone," he easily said.

I tightened my grip and aimed for his head. He laughed again and showed me his gun. I heard the clicking of numerous guns behind him and I can feel that they're now ready to shoot.

"Coward," I hissed, trying to avoid the fear which is starting to rise up within me.

"You'll die. Right here, right now," he answered and disappeared again.

My heart started to beat faster, still afraid of the fact that it's now the end of me. No, I can't let them do this to me. I still have a lot of goals and confessions to make. Despite the fear, I aimed for the first one that I could see from my place. I heard the gunshot coming from mine and I moved fastly I could. A raging bullet came towards me but I managed to stop it through my power. I turned the bullets into ice and shifted it back to them.

I was about to shoot again but the trees started to burn one by one. My eyes widened when I heard some screams coming from the people who're currently burning themselves together with trees. The continuous gunshots coming from someone continues to rage. I blinked twice to absorb everything and think rationally. I don't want to assume anything but there's only one person who can burn the entire place.

"This can't be happening," I whispered to myself as my knees started to feel heavy.

I fell on my knees and watched the whole place in front of me slowly turn into ashes. I placed my right hand in front of my chest, trying to feel my heartbeat.

In the middle of the said chaos, someone appeared in front of me. I looked above and met his raging red eyes. His messy hair appeared in front of my eyes as I heard his harsh breathing. His gun was on his right hand and his cloak was full of burnt marks.

"Captain," I called for him as I let my tears fall.
