Chapter 1 : The Sin City

Alast Eir's POV

I guess this is it, gonna be stuck in here for a while.

My Mom and Dad decided that we should move here for a while for business matters. Normally me and Mom are in Las Vegas every summer but now's completely different. We are here up 'til Dad finishes his company business here.

Well, Mom owns a clock shop in here. I decided to tag along than to be left in Italy just to study and meet their expectations.

And if I didn't then my old man would be so furious, it's better this way, I can watch over Mom and I won't activate his super saiyan state lmao.

My Dad? All I can say for now is he's a very busy man, he owns a big company and he's stupid at times. He needs me here for some purpose that's why I'm also obliged to be here.

Oh, I forgot to introduce myself. Pardon my lack of manners.

My name is Alast Eir Tanwen.

I just moved in here.

You're asking about my surname? Well Mom is half American and half Japanese while Dad is half Italian and half idiot, I-I mean half Greek.

Weird right? Well, I'm informed that the older generations of their families also have mix races but I'm too lazy to study the oh-so-called-roots of my existence.

I guess that's a story for another time.

Can't we just say that Mom and Dad had an intercourse then boom! Ta-da! I'm alive lol.

I sigh as I headed out of my Mom's car and goes to the back to unload the trunk.

I take two luggages and waits for Mom to open her shop just to rush upstairs and crash in my room.

Yes, our shop is also our house. It has a antique shop look because of different types of clock inside but our rooms and living room is just upstairs.

I went inside and takes my tool box out of a luggage and puts it in the counter. Yeah, I also forgot to tell that I also work as a clock mechanic to help mom.

After that, I gather my remaining strength and put my luggage over my head as I rush upstairs and crash in my room, throwing my luggage in the side and diving in the mattress of my bed.

I took my phone out and set an alarm as I drift off to sleep.

I woke up with a headache, lazily reaching the side table to turn off the alarm.

I groan as I roll on the side of the bed and sat up rubbing my eyes to adjust from the sunlight that peaks in my room.

I went to the bathroom, washes my face, brushes my teeth and goes to my side table looking through my phone and reading a pile of text.

'Mam, your presence is necessary today at 10 am.'

-Secretary of Finance

'M'lady, please be sharp or else the CEO will be furious once again.'

-Secretary of Human Resources

'Miss, please be on time. You and your father have a meeting with the investors and some other important people from this city for the new business that your father is establishing.'

-Dad's Assistant Secretary

"Geez, so early in the morning. They should know that jetlags are a thing. I don't even understand why department secretaries texts me all the time for reminders. I should've kept my numbers a secret, whatever. Dad and his ways."

I sighed while rolling my eyes and browse through other texts.

"Yo! It's your first day in here! I want to give you a tour. Allow me pleasee!"

-Alice

I typed a reply as I open my closet and look for an outfit for the meeting, 'Oh? Where did you get my number?'

I took my chosen outfit and read her reply, 'Dad's secretary! No talking! Move your ass and don't be late if you don't want Dad to be a monster in the morning! See ya later!'

I swear this girl is made up of sugar.

How can she be so energetic in the morning?

I already would've kicked her ass for being so annoyingly energetic if she weren't my sister.

Relaxing in the tub is nice. It usually takes hours for me to get out of the tub because there are times that I fell asleep in the bathroom but today is my first day here, I don't want to give a bad first impressions.

After 30 minutes I rinsed and wrap a towel around myself as I slide on a fitted black pants. Taking a chest binder, wearing it before wearing it and buttoning my polo.

Not that I needed to, I'm not blessed in the front body department but I need to make sure that my figure looks like a guy or even just look a bit near like a guy's body. Why? Well, I won't explain now, talking to myself is pretty stupid, the last time I talked to myslef like this, I almost get fired by Dad lol.

I browse in my luggage and gets my wig. I proceed to the mirror with my wig and comb in my hand.

Brushing and fixing my short shoulder length hair to hide it under my boy wig.

Adjusting my black wig, to cover my hair and look natural, no need for anything else, my natural hair is also black so it's not that obvious if a strand fell out but yeah still gonna adjust my wig or else I'll look like an emo guy who doesn't know the use of combs.

Hanging my blazer and cravat tie in my arm and I run downstairs to find mom eating breakfast.

"Woah, who are you and what did you do to my daughter?", my Mom acts surprise and giggles after a minute of her fail attempt.

Yeah, this is a normal occurrence, my Mom joking about how I look like a natural 'pretty' boy.

My Mom is weird and my Dad is stupid. Hope my genes are fine even just a single percent.

I rolled my eyes and proceed to put on my black socks and my Dr. Martens x Raf Simons ring- embellished boots.

I set my feather with chain earring and attached it's ear cuff partner in the upperside of my ear and does the same with my other ear.

I a sandwich in the table, took a bite and settles it back as Mom finished my tie.

I took my blazer off of the table and wears it while checking it's details. My black blazer is simple yet elegant due to the print of a silver fleur-de-lis in it's chest pocket on the left side of it.

I take a little silver chain in my drawer and hangs it in the pocket making it an accessory.

Mom sighs and smiles while she takes a silver silk handkerchief with black damask prints and folds it in a square folding and putting it in my blazer's chest pocket using it as a pocket square, "Just don't make it a mission to piss him off."

I shrugged, "How do I look?"

"You look nice and cute", Mom teases and makes faces as I roll my eyes once again, she does that when she reminisce my baby memories and it's cringy.

"I better get going now or else that old man will be on his 'dragon mode' right?", I chuckle a bit and takes my bikes keys proceeding to the door.

"Wait hey! Don't forget these! And can you drop by in a customer to deliver the clock in the basket of your bike?", Mom throws my silver rings that have chains connecting each ring with one another and my wrist iron bracelet that have engravings on it.

Why do I have this? Not that I'm a punk or goth accessory lover but mom says it's a charm.

Don't even ask why because I don't know either. I don't even understand the symbols engraved on it.

I smiled and wave at Mom as I go to the alley in the side of the shop to get my bike.

I wore the charm in my left hand and a fingerless black glove in my right hand. Well I wore a single glove, that's because it kinda helps me grip the bike handle because there are times that my hands sweats I guess that happens when you work too hard on gears specially on small gears like in clocks.

I checked if the little clock that Mom asks me to deliver is safe and sound in my bike's front basket. Setting it back in it's box in the basket and wearing my black England beret with silver buckle, I sat up and wore my plain black face mask and starts to pedal to the address in the box.

Why I wore a beret? It's pretty hot in Vegas y'know and my mask because I don't like to risk breathing any dust or sand as I pedal to my destination.

It became a routine, me wearing outfits like these whenever I'm needed in Dad's company.

Now I wish that I can wear just a shirt and short because it's really hot in this place.

I finished the delivery and sighed.

I think I'm lost. Her house is in a couple of alleys that's why I lost track of what way I came from.

In attempt to get back on the right track I wander around the dark and quiet corner of the alley I'm currently in.

I groan and about to give up and call Mom when I hear something crash.

I felt my body froze on the spot. Then more sounds of trouble came. I-I hear people.

Gathering my courage, I faced source of the sounds...

There are a couple of people fighting.

They're like 8 or 9. You know what the weird thing is? Some of them are growling and snarling like they're out of their minds.

I guess Las Vegas isn't called Sin City for nothing.
