All girls or boys wish for the perfect family the perfect dad the perfect mother and siblings. But that wish didn't come true for me my father was a butt head he treated me like I was his maid. My mother wasn't the same though she liked me my sister was a disappointment to her. My father hated me because I was sweet and kind he said I should be more like my sister a cold and fearless vampire. But I just wasn't like that the only person who understood that was my mother. But one day when I have my mate he will treat me like the princess that I am and I will take my mother away from this place and we will all live happly together. I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't realize that my father walked into the kitchen. I was washing the dishes after dinnner while humming to my favorite song until the thought of having my mate by my side came to mind and I just got so lost in it. "Caroline hurry up in there and head to the market to fetch some snacks for your sister". "Yes father" I said with a faint tone. I hurried with washing the dishes and grabbed a basket I made my way to town to get my sister some snacks as she was my father's little princess but one day I will show that bratty little princess a peice of my mind. I picked up all her favorite things and paid for them on my way home I went to the wishing pool. Where all the little children and adults were gathered around making a wish. And asking the mooon goddess for something the wishing pool was the only thing keeping us connected with the moon goddess. I closed my eyes and made a wish as well I wanted a mate that could treat me well and give me love and make up for all those years. I opened my eyes and hurried away before I was late home if I was father would scold me or beat me like he did the other time I was late home. When I got home I set the snacks on in front of my sisters room door she never wanted to see me she says that everytime she looked at me she would always get a rash so I should stay as far away from her as posible. I opened the door to the closet under the stairs to our home and walked inside. I closed the door and picked up the pillow I slepted in the closet my father said that there weren't enough rooms in the house for me to sleep in one. But there were two other rooms but I didn't mind sleeping in the closet though it was dirty and smelly it was the only place I felt comfortable. I laid down on the half torn blanket and closed my eyes I didn't even have a blanket to cover myself with. My stomach growled from the hunger I haven't eaten in a long while my mother always sneaks me left overs. But sometimes she couldn't get me food so I had to go to bed hungry and thirsty as I am now. The night got cold I shivered sometimes in the night but I couldn't get any warmer so I had to put up with it all. The nexted morning came I woke up from the sound of our door bell a vampire screach. I got up opened the door to the closet and walked to the front door I opened it and saw a letter forr me from the moon goddess. I opened the letter and read what was written on it after reading it I felt like my heart was going to break into tiny little peices. Dad came from upstairs and grabbed the letter from out of my hand then he started laughing. I just rolled my eyes and snached the letter from out of his hand. "You actually think you can be the king's mate in your dreams". "It's not like you can do any better old man". He slapped my across the face making me fall to the ground his slapped felt like I just got burned from fire. "You brat how dare you talk back to me. Learn your place in this famliy" he said pointing a finger at me then leaving. As he was about to leave the door bell rung again he turned around and motioned for me to open the door. I opened the door to see in front of me on my home door step the Red Moon castle guards. I froze numb I couldn't speak i just stared at them they were so muscular but why were they here at my home. Then I remebered the letter "how may I help you sir". He took out a scroll and started reading from it "I king Tyson Moon here by annouce that Caroline Swan live with me at Red Moon palace". I tensed up and turned to my father who was as shocked as me he walked up to the guards and asked them a question. "Sir if my daughter does go what will she become to Red Moon". "She will be the Red Moon Queen of course". The Red Moon Queen I don't even know anything about being a queen the moon goddess probably made a mistake I can't be the king's mate. The king is known by all for being a cold heart person and when you look deep into his eyes the air becomes cold. The dark stories about him still scares me till this very day.
