"Wake up, sleepy head", a boy tapped the sleeping girl to wake her up.

"Mmm......just three more minutes". Turning to face the opposite direction on the bed, she mumbled.

"You'd better wake up 'cause there's no way I'm missing Miss Stevens' lecture today.", the boy said angrily before leaving the room with loud steps, however, he closed the door softly and left.

He showered and got dressed. It was his turn to make breakfast today so he quickly whipped up a light breakfast for both of them. By the time he had finished he had finished the meal, she was downstairs all dressed.

She never ceases to amaze him, she just had this way of doing things. She would always laze around in bed in the morning, however, she was never a reason for their tardiness.

She quickly checked her watch and said, "We've got only 20 minutes. Go grab your stuff. We'll leave in 5 minutes and I'm driving".

Her serious mode was now activated. Daniel's lips curved up slightly which he quickly hid.

His wife was adorable.

He did as she said and by the time he got downstairs, she had cleared the table and done the dishes.

He frowned slightly. She gave him a glance. As if reading his mind, she said, "If we get there before time, I can have breakfast there. It's all packed in here." and she showed him the lunch box she was carrying.

Daniel was not so pleased but he had to agree that it was feasible enough.

The duo left the apartment together and quickly got on the motorbike.

Daniel's expression didn't look so good as he said to her, "Please go easy on me". And with that, he got on the motorbike and wrapped his arms around my waist. Anyone else would have viewed this as intimate and inappropriate but it was already normalcy to them. Pretending to be a couple for half a year did have perks. They had become very comfortable with each other. They put on their helmets, and she drove top speed to the university. They didn't want anyone to see them together yet, so they parked at a secluded spot.

Daniel got off with a pale face and Kathryn smirked as she took off her helmet and fixed her hair that had been messed up by the helmet. She knew he had motion sickness, but she still drove with speed. Daniel finally couldn't hold it in and retched heavily. After that, he turned to give an accusatory glare at her but she smirked and said, "That's for disturbing my sleep".

Daniel looked pale and weak so she gave her lunch box to him. Daniel looked at her confusedly.

"What? Do you want to faint in front of the whole school? Besides, you have to train today", she said.

This was so unlike her.

He hesitated, but knowing this hesitation came from the fact that she also hadn't eaten.

"Don't worry. I'll eat from the cafeteria. Now hurry up and let's go for the woman's lectures.", Kathryn said as she began walking.

Daniel smiled and also began walking to the lecture hall. Thankfully, it was close to where they usually packed. He slowed down a little so that he wouldn't appear together with Kathryn.

He unconsciously smiled at the thought of Kathryn.

He looked at the lunch box lovingly.

This silly girl didn't know about his feelings for her at all. How much he wanted to tell those fools who approached her that she was his, well...legally his.

They had gotten married because the government gave incentives to couples in this country and they were tight on funds at that time so they got marriage at the Civil Affairs Bureau, three months after arriving in this country. They had no choice at that time and were not averse to the idea so they did. He had loved her long before their marriage.

But he didn't know how she felt about him and he couldn't afford the risk of making their two-year friendship awkward.

Not just yet. So he had been living with his feelings hidden.

Waiting and praying for her to fall for him just as he did.

As much as he didn't want her to be involved in his family issue, he wanted to be selfish a little.

Soon, he got to class with his bag and lunch box. Everyone looked at him weirdly but he didn't care, he didn't have to explain himself to anyone. He sat down on the isolated seats available, but he sat in a spot where he could clearly see her expressions. She calmly put the headphones on and opened her bag. Then, she began to panic. Daniel who was observing her secretly frowned slightly.

'What was wrong'

Kathryn frantically searched her bag but probably because she didn't find what she was looking for, the panic was even more apparent on her face.

Daniel quickly took his phone and texted her.

"What's wrong. You don't look so good"

"My laptop. Can you check if it's in yours", she replied.

Daniel put his phone down and began to check.

"It's here. You probably forgot and placed it in mine.", he replied.

But the problem was how was he to give it to her?
