I'm Asher. I was born that my dad was an Alpha of the Pack of werewolves.

I have lived with a huge responsibility that I will face in the future. Before being an alpha, I need to find my mate and it will be a future Luna of mine.

Today is my birthday. Lots of things prepared and dad took care of everything for me.

When I woke up in my room I immediately tidied up and prepared myself for them to see that I was handsome in their eyes.

While celebrating my birthday, I will look for my mate. I hope to see her today.

I went down to my room and I saw that there's so many girls that went to my party and I knew that it would take me a long time to talk to them and check if one of them is my mate.

I went to the side of the stage before dad's talking in front of the visitors.

"Let's eat now!" My dad said. Everyone started to get a portion of food. While everyone's busy, my dad went on my spot.

"Happy Birthday, Asher!" He said smilingly and he rubbed my hair.

"What the heck dad! You messed up my hairstyle!" I complained sarcastically.

"You've grown so much. It seems like I am just carrying you before." He said it touches my heart. I remember those times where we were always together before. He's always giving me anything I want.

"My wish for you is to be a responsible man. One more year and you'll be on the legal adulthood as well. Always do your priorities first. Always remember this. All your actions have consequences." He reminded me. When I was a young, that line is his favorite to tell me that I brought until now.

"Yes dad! Thank you so much for raising me!" and I hugged him tightly.

"You must enjoy it now! Go with your friends" He let go of our embrace and pointed out my friends. While I am heading to their direction, I saw various girls who are currently eating now.

What the heck. Am I right on what I've seen?

I turned my sight again on a specific spot of our house until I saw a girl. My guess was right. It's her.

She's looking at me seriously until she turned her sight with other. She's here and I don't know what to feel.

I continued walking to my friends' direction and had a high five with them.

"Happy birthday, man!" Anton greeted and he gave me a drink.

"Thank you so much!" We tossed our glasses and drank it.

After a while, I looked at a girl who's still staring at me. I went to its spot and sit beside her.

"Why are you looking at me?" I asked her while smirking. She drinks her beverage and continues to look at me seducingly.

"You're so handsome today, Asher" She replied to me.

"I'm always looking good" and she laughs that makes me smile. I stare at her until her face is slowly getting near in front of me. But before anything happens…

"Asher. That is not your mate" My dad suddenly screamed that caught everyone's attention. I suddenly feel mad about this.

"Then who is my mate?" I asked him while my teeth were gritting.

"I believe she's just here." He responded that makes me more annoyed.

Even my dad didn't know who my mate is, so I decided to leave him and I walked around at the party and I talked to other girls in the pack.

My dad's visitor kept looking at me when I passed by them and they know that I'm the son of my Dad which is the Alpha of the Pack and I bowed at them.

I look around and check the girls eyes and I feel that most of them are not my mate.

Every girl that I passed by, they're waving at me and I went to them and I talked for a while but no one of them is my mate.

I have so many guests and visitors left before I stop searching for my mate. There's a group of girls talking and I went to them.

" Hi" I exclaimed while I had a charming smile to them.

They responded to men and we shook hand and we had conversation.

" Do you all enjoy it?" I asked and I started to look in their eyes and feel if one of them is my mate.

" Yes, we enjoy it. You look so busy today, why didn't you enjoy your party?" One of them responded and I had a forced smile to her.

" I had something to do, but it's okay to see you all enjoying at my party"

" I had to go, enjoy!" I said while I'm leaving and went to the other side of the party and I continued searching for my mate.

I heard murmuring from the group of girls that I went earlier.

" Is he searching for his mate?"

" Why didn't he find it?"

" It's so hard to be the son of the Alpha"

" He have huge responsibility, to take over the Alpha to his dad"

" I think he had a hard time to look for his mate"

" I hope that I was his mate"

" He walked around and talk to other girls for a long time but no one of them he still didn't find" " I feel pity for him"

I could hear them talking about me but I just ignored them and kept looking for my mate at the party.

After an hour I still can't find my mate and I think negative thoughts. If I can't find my mate, I will not be an Alpha and my dad will reject me to be his son.

If I already find my mate, my dad will pass off being Alpha to me when I turn 18 next year.

That's why my dad was always asking me if I already found my mate because if I can't still find my mate when I'm 18 the Beta will take all over until then.

I'm the only one who can pass all the responsibility of my dad and to be an Alpha of the Pack.

I saw my dad walking closely to me and I had a big sigh and I know that he will ask about my mate if I already found it.

I stood up and dad went to my spot before he asked something I already told him.

"Dad. Stop making any scandal here. Just let me be happy this time."

"We will find her, Asher. Don't rush things."

" It's not a pack because there's an Alpha. Without an Alpha there is no pack, and without an Alpha there are no ranks, they are just all, simply, rogues"

" I will die soon, wolves live and Die like humans. I'm just worried that you can't find your mates before I die because the Beta of the Pack can take all the responsibility of the Alpha and you will just a simply to the Pack"

He told me while holding my shoulder. My friends and other acquaintances are now looking at us and I feel embarrassed. I walked out of our house and I howled.
