Seven years ago

My head was spinning and pounding badly. My felt as if I had been hit by a bus. I tried to remember the events of yesterday evening but it was all blurry. As I turned to my wife's side so that I can ask her what happened, I realised that she wasn't there which was very odd. I called out to her and I didn't get any response. I set out to look for her in the entire house but she was nowhere to seen. I decided to get a glass of water and I realised that the kitchen had not been touched. There was no breakfast set out on the table. My wife always wakes very early in the morning to prepare food for me that always makes me start all my days in a jovial mood. But today it felt cold. I ran upstairs to our bedroom and I immediately saw my cellphone and grabbed it. My first instinct was to call my wife to ask about her whereabouts but her phone was unreachable. I started panicking because everything that was happening didn't make any sense. I opted to leave a message for her so that she can immediately get back to me once she sees it. As I was about to place my cellphone back on the table, there was a notification which caught my eye. It was a video of me delivering my speech yesterday night and it was trending on YouTube. It has more than one million views and two thousand comments. I decided to watch the video. After carefully listening and analysing it, that's when my world came crumbling down and everything started falling into place. The painful truth was that I had lost her and she was gone.

The present day

As I was walking down the path that led straight to my apartment, i spotted a beautiful lady with twins who are about six or five years of age moving into the house that was recently bought. I decide that I should go and introduce myself. As I always tell myself, it's never a wrong to make a new friend. As I got closer the twins ran off to the other kids of their age who were playing outside. I live in a very small complex where everyone treats each other like family. The complex consists of small families, couples and single people like me. I bought the complex five aways ago to get away from the city that caused me great misery. My thoughts of the part faded as the woman turned at looked at me. She had a smile on her face that lit up my world, she had long flawless hair that was wavy at the ends. She had a small waist that complemented her wide hips and medium sized breasts. She looked like an angel, my angel and it all felt so unreal because there she was, my first love standing right before me.
