I've written several romance subgenres through my fifteen years of industry experience, including sweet/Christian, contemporary, paranormal, small-town, suspense, and erotic romance. Fake relationships, secret billionaires or royalty, two characters stuck together, and enemies to friends are some of my favorite tropes. I want the reader to fall in love with my heroes right along with the heroine.
