On a bright Sunday morning, the Sun is blazing with the mild rays, peeking behind the beautiful clouds, making the weather cozy and calm, and inside the one-story medium-sized house, a girl is drying her hair with the towel as she has just come out of the washroom after taking a shower. Her dark brown hair cascades to her waist, and a few water droplets drip at the ends.

She hums a song with a calm smile, as she continues her focus on drying her hair.After a few minutes, two lazy footsteps enter the room with sleepy eyes, and land straight on the bed, which grabs her attention as she instantly turns around and she rolls her eyes.She settles the towel on the chair, walks towards the bed, and stands there with her hands resting on either side of her waist.

“Hey Monkey, what are you doing in my room?” Rucha yells, but gets no response from the person.

“Ash! Get up or else be ready to get the scolding of Dad as a morning breakfast,” Rucha tries to wake her lazy younger brother with the warning.

“Please! Ru, let me sleep for just five minutes,” Ashley pleads in his sleepy tone.He pulls the comforter back from her and covers himself properly from head to toe.

“Okay, fine, only five minutes,” Rucha sighs heavily, and a giggle leaves her mouth, when sees him wrapped in a comforter that looks like an Egyptian Mummy, and heads out of the room.

The moment Rucha walks out of her room, a mouthwatering aroma hits her nostrils, making her eyes shut instantly as she licks her lips.She runs straight to the kitchen and finds her mother busy cooking breakfast.

“Mom, what is there for breakfast today?” Rucha asks excitedly and roams her eyes to find the mouth-watering dish.

“Scrambled eggs with sandwiches!” Rucha’s mother answered.

“Woah! Sounds so yummy,” Rucha expresses in a chirping tone.

“ Did he wake up or still sleeping?” Her mother asks with a giggle.

“He is in my room. I will go and wake him up,” Rucha says and leaves the kitchen.Walking into her room, she sees that Ashley is still sleeping

She shakes her head in disbelief and snatches the comforter from him.

“Your five minutes are over, Ash. Now get up,” Rucha says and tries to drag him from the bed.

“ Come on, Ash, move, I need to make the bed,” Rucha states and folds the comforter.Ashley groans and finally opens his sleepy eyes.

“ Ru, I will get up on one condition and that is you have to piggyback me from the bed to the bathroom,” Ashley demands in his sleepy tone.

“ Such a baby, you are Ash,” Rucha chuckles at his demand and carries him on her back, and leaves him near the door of the washroom. After that, she makes her bed and then joins her mother for breakfast and in the meantime, Ashley also joins them at the dining table.

Later in the afternoon,Mr & Mrs.Sen move out of the house to see one of their relatives due to a health emergency.Rucha and Ashley take charge of the household chores.

“ Ash, you better clean the kitchen counter and cooktop properly, or else I will delete all the games that you have downloaded on my phone,’’ Rucha remarks in a dominating tone, pointing a ladle covers with dishing foam towards his direction.Ashley looks at her with a squint eyes.

“ How cruel you are, Ru? You are torturing a sweet little boy with so much work,” Ashley complains with a fake cry and makes a pitiful face.Rucha turns and looks at him with a raised eyebrow.

“Oh please! Stop your melodrama, Ash! and do your work. Use your tactics on those who don’t know you but not on me, my baby brother,” Rucha comments and flickers lightly on his forehead,yearning a groan from him, who looks at her with a pout, and rubs his forehead.

“ But promise me, you will give it to me to play the game later on,” Ashley smiles with a puppy face, and Rucha nods her head in response.

Their parents arrive at dusk,and they have their dinner together.Ashley walks towards Rucha's room and peeks his head inside.He finds his sister busy with books.He silently walks to the bed and sits in front of her.He waits for a few seconds but gets no response from her as seems too engrossed in her books.He taps on her book to grab her attention.

“ Ash! Don't disturb me,” Rucha states,without lifting her head from the books.Ashley's exciting face drops.

“Ru! Did you forget what you told me in the morning?”

“ What? ” Rucha asks.

“ That you will give me your phone to play games,” Ashley says in a whining tone.

“ Not now,Ash! I have to complete my assignments with the help of my phone,” Rucha explains,while Ashley makes a puppy face and clings to her arm.

“ Please! Ru…i promise i won't play for longer time.Just ten minutes are enough for me,” His little act works on Rucha.

“ Ok,fine,take it…anyways,i am going upstairs to get some air,” Ashley grins in extreme happiness,as he looks at the phone in her hand.
