3:30am in the morning I woke up, feeling less sleepy and more awake, anxious and excited too. Normally I would be deep sleeping at this hour but not today,today was different,I was going to college.

       I had graduated from high school the previous year and saved a part time job at a hardware store for a couple of months, while applying to a nursing school,not that I wanted to ,but because my inner self wouldn't let me wait a little longer for a course I really wanted to study,so I had to apply ,,,well seems  luck was totally on my side, I was selected for the next intake,and I was to report a week before the actual opening.

            As I laid quietly on my comfortable bed,I kept thinking how it would be like, meeting new people,hush I hated that part,I would not take offense if anyone described me as anti-social.

          I didn't even realize it was 5 in the morning,I woke up, went straight to the bathroom,I stood there , looking at my mirror image,she looked as much as I felt  happy.

        I had a quick cold bath,dressed up in blue jeans,white T-shirt and black leather boots,,who wears that? I do,I went down stairs ,prepared scrambled eggs,with some bread and milk as i watched mom put on her shoes.

      "All set,,?" She asked looking at me standing over the kitchen counter finishing my last slice of bread.

   "Mmmh mmmh " I nodded with food in my mouth.

"Good grab your stuff ,,I don't wanna be late for work,"she said getting the car keys.

   I quickly went back up stairs got my suitcase and my back pack,mother had advised me to pack reasonable things only,am good at following rules, trust me.

   I went outside,she was already in the car,I my stuff at the back  seat and slide into the passenger seat next to her.

     "Good?" She asked.

"Yes" I answered smilingly.

She started the engine and drove out of the parking lot in front of the house,well for some reason leaving made me feel sad,I looked at my mother who seemed focused on the road, Jesus I Will miss this woman.

     It was only me and Mom since Dad died five years ago,she is always the one I looked up to,and I was now leaving her,how hurtful.

      After about an hour or so ,she pulled over at a taxi rank.

   "Really mom?,,taxi on my first day"I asked looking disappointed.

"Am sorry hunny,,  I wish I wasn't working"she answered looking sad.

"Well ,bye, I love you...I will call you!"I shouted getting out of the car and getting my stuff.

"I love you! "she shouted as she drove away.

   In no time I found me a taxi and we were on the road,I sat at the back seat with  headsets in my ears listening to my favourite sad jam,I was going to miss this place though I wasn't much of an outgoing person.

      The taxi driver pulled over at which seemed to be a parking lot,the place looked quite with a few people moving around,I was already hating it.

I got my stuff and paid him,I looked at the tall building in front of me,I hope they have elevators ,I thought pushing away the thought of climbing stairs up to the principal's or whoever's office.

      I made it inside and well I found myself standing in an office,with a lady looking at me with the yes? Look.

       "You are the school Matron,,?"I asked Even doubting myself if that was the right question to ask.

    'yes and you are,,?"she asked looking up.

"Elizabeth...... Elizabeth Sam's"I said justifying my accent.

      She looked through her computer"gottcha!,,"she shouted"you will be in room 160,,,you are welcome,"she Said

"Okay,,?" I answered looking at her, probably expecting more.

"And yes ,, orientation starts tomorrow"she said.

       "Thank you ,,,"I said leaving the room..and heading to the school hostels ,I walked through the hall way and finally found the room 160.

    In relief I pushed open the door expecting no one but myself,I found two people kissing,they were both half naked,I was about to go back when the guy noticed me and my weird reaction.

"Hey!"he shouted breaking their kiss.

I looked back,"hey,,?"I said a bit uncertain.

   "Come on in,,,"the girl said turning to look at me "I will see you later "she told  the guy.

The guy dressed up and went out,the girl looked at me and smiled,

"Am sorry you had to see that,,Mabel"she said extending a hand to me.

     "It's okay... Elizabeth,,,, Liz"I said shaking her hand.

"So you will be my roommate?"she asked.. that is Soo obvious,I thought.

  "Guess so"I forced a smile.

"Good ...I will see you later then"she said dressing up and leaving,,,"oooh and you can lock the door if you like,I have an extra key"she said finally leaving.

  Wow! some room alone felt much better,no naked people kissing,Soo gross. I looked out the window,it was quite and at some distance was what seemed to be a hospital,I took out my stuff ,started parking into my quarter,I sat on the bed,not as comfortable as mine ,but I would adjust.

        With no much effort I was fast Asleep.

I could hear voices behind the door people walking Down the hall way and banging the doors,so annoying,I wished I was home already.

Mabel's POV:

I heard the door burst open and hated the fact that I had to stop kissing Henry.I looked back and saw this dark-haired girl stand right there looking frozen up.what is wrong with people?.

I knew I had to be nice,she was probably going to be my roommate and from the first look,I knew damn well we were from whole different world's,,,I just hoped I could make friends.I sucked at making female friends.

I told Henry I would see him outside.

I spoke to her ,and she was nice,not like all the others but in a different way kind of nice.

We were going to be some hell of FRIENDS.
