Chapter one.

"I have the confirmation message, it must have been sent to Trevor's phone!" I told my mom as we were outside the reporting desk at my college. She looked at me with angry eyes and said "just get the message now!! Or else tell me if you intend to drop out."

I walked out and tried to contact my brother Trevor to see if he had my confirmation text that I had been accepted to the university of Northwale. He texted back that he was looking.

She insisted on bringing me there and i hated it. All the people there were just looking at me with judgemental eyes and criticism. They all thought i was irresponsible, at least that was what I thought. I looked at me phone, no text back. I searched my black jacket pockets to see if I still had some cash so i could buy something to calm me down. The anxiety was killing me.

I looked at my mom who was by now talking to the registrar. A tall brown skin girl was seated on the waiting area couch and all she could do was look at me. She obviously felt the second hand embarrassment.

"Kevin! Come here and fill in these forms." Said my mom holding up my admission letter. Thank God!!!. See, I applied here and was accepted but I didn't receive the actual confirmation message , however weird it sounds.

We signed up and i was given my reporting date for registration, 8th of September 2019.

As we walked home, the brown skin girl passed us as my mom was heading to a shop and looked at me by the side. Somehow, I still saw that she was beautiful, very beautiful. Well , hopefully we'd meet right. But it's college, that never happens unless numbers have been exchanged. Anyway my mom came back and we got the bus ride home. I was silent all the way. I know what you're thinking, my mom should've apologized right?? Well no, you better get used to my mom, also black mothers don't say stuff like that. We got back home and I had to prepare for the next week.

Let me just save you all the wait of the blahh!!s of preparation and registration in school. I joined in and that's what counts.

Two weeks later we began learning. On the first day, I was kinda lost to be honest. I couldn't seem to find my class, as I stood at the huge notice board a tall slim, light skin guy came up with a red hoodie, grey sweatpants and black shoes, to be honest I don't remember the exact shoes.

"WhatsApp, could you tell me where the ICT labs are?" He said with a straight face.

"I don't know bro. I just joined. Matter of fact I'm just looking for the same place." I replied.

"No way!" He reacted.

"Yeap!" I said.

As we talked I saw a guy i had seen before and he showed us the way. We went and took the back seats.

The class was silent except for some two guys. One dressed in a black jacket with matching trousers and red shoes and the other in an all white attire. They seemed like they would be the most talkative and most annoying people i would get to know over the next few days. We found the lecturer talking and it seemed like noone cared whatever he was talking about. All i did was check my phone. I couldn't wait to get new earphones. I mean, two thousand songs are useless without earphones. Anyway, i tried to listen to the plump teacher as he talked.

"We won't be learning anything today. I'll just give you the course outline then we'll get to know each other." Said a short plump lecturer, standing in the front of the class. After we said our names he left.

I took out my phone to check some updates on my WhatsApp and when I looked up, my new friend Brian was engaging with some other guy. Seems like they knew each other. Well it was good for me, I didn't have to create fake conversations with him. As I looked around in the class I saw a girl seated right in front of us. She had black and white braided hair, she wore a black and white sweater and black jeans. I know it looks simple right? See that's my thing, I like everything simple.

I decided to just stay and look at her. Her smooth skin was amazing. She had dimples on her cheeks and big black eyes. I saw her smile and I couldn't stop staring. She looked at me and i looked back at my phone. Apparently my new friend Brian is a ladies man. He had already gotten her number before the day was over.

Anyway I didn't care, I just went back home thinking of my past.

I have had very many escapades back in high school with girls I didn't even know. All I had to do was to let her grind on me at a party and that was just about what I needed to go to bed with her. They liked me because they thought I was a rich kid due to my friendship with some rich friends I had. But that was about two years back. I didn't have school fees for college so I waited for two years to get it. Now I've been working on my relationship with God and I'm happy with it. However the urge to go back to that life has been coming to me so much these days. I don't like explaining a lot about what I do but I'll take you to the more important stuff. After seeing the girl , i wondered if I could talk to her without saying the wrong stuff or how I would start. Wait, how would you start??

For the record, i didn't have any normal social life before.
