1:27am.

Today made it the sixth day since my dad, Mr. mark had gone on a mission sent by my mentor, Christine. My mum has not being herself since the day she heard he had gone missing with some other members. These issue became no laughing matter when those who carried out this operation came out boldly, threatening us. They called themselves the water dominant; some group of witch's, wizards and sorcerers that does there meetings in the other invisible side of a river. I can't tell my mum what we are all up against, because I don't want her to take an impulsive steps that will cause life's.

When I did my personal investigation on these present situation, I found out that there's something off about it. My dad used to tell me that " if there is no enemy within the enemy outside can not do us any harm". To myself calculation, I believe we have an enemy within us, because the nature and rules of the mission was to strike quietly.

The mission had nothing to do with the water dominant, so I still don't understand why they interfered into our business. Christine, the leader of the Band coven promised to organized a combined meeting so as to address the situation to everyone and also to draft a plan on how to retrieved those that are held hostage by the water dominant.

Vanessa stomach created a rumbling sound which stopped her writing; she closed her diary book and Walk her way down to the kitchen to take something lite to eat before attending the meeting. On her way to the kitchen, she was shocked to see her mum awake sitting, looking worried.

"Mum, what's up?," Vanessa asked. "nothing much," Rebecca replied, trying to wipe out the worries on her face away.

"Are you sure?," Vanessa asked, looking directly Into her mum's eyeballs. "Am fine," she replied.

Rebecca put a little smile on her face just to push Vanessa's attention away from her. Vanessa looked at her for some seconds and faced her way to the kitchen. After some few minutes, Rebecca went to the Kitchen when she noticed her worries were holding her down. When she got to the kitchen she saw how Vanessa was rushing the food she was eating

some pieces of sliced bread and an orange juice

.

"You are always late," Rebecca said. "Yeah, always late," Vanessa replied with some bread in her mouth.

Vanessa looked at her mum with a smile on her face and she noticed her mum looks worried.

"Mum is there any problem?, you can talk to me," she asked. "Do you know that today makes it the sixth day since your dad has gone on a mission sent by Christine?," she asked.

"Yes, I do, is that what you are worried about?," Vanessa asked. "Yeah , it is something big you and I should be worried about," her mum replied. "Mum this is not his first time going on a mission," Vanessa said. He is missing Vanessa; And the most annoying part is that Christine still organized a meeting today and not just a meeting, a combined meeting without his present. Don't you think something big is up? Rebecca asked.

Vanessa went close to her mum and hugged her tightly.

The meeting she called fort for is to take necessary steps before it is to late. Mum don't worry, I believe his fine; trust me.

Vanessa took three steps backward and said some few incantations and she teleported.

.......

2:07am.

The meeting had already started when Vanessa teleported in. Her appearance created a huge distraction at the coven. She diverted everyone's attention away from Christine to herself.

"Am sorry, you can continue ma" she said.

Christine looked at Vanessa for some few seconds, with a smile on her face before she continued. "As I said earlier, we all have a big problem," she said.

Some few member at the coven begins to murmur; they were all covered with fear, chatting with one another. Vanessa's friend, Blessing spoke out; What are we up against this time?

Christine stood up from her throne, walking towards Blessing with a fake smile, whispering into her ear.

"Something you can't handle," Christine said.

Vanessa noticed the way her friend Blessing reacted after Christine spoke to her. she was fearful of her, so she went closer to blessing, whispering into her ear.

"What did she say," Vanessa asked. "Hmm... Nothing much," Blessing replied.

"I don't still understand why you all are murmuring; i don't know why you all are scared," Christine spoke aggressive has she walks among their means. Few of our members were held captive by the water dominant and what I can get from you all is fear not anger; am highly disappointed in you all," she said.

Christine continued. "There must be reasons why the Water dominant acted that way. believe me, we trying to find out why is just a total waste of time.

Blessing interrupted, Am sorry, how did the water dominant find out we are on a mission; were we trying to attack them? "No, we were not," Christine replied.

"Before the next combined meeting, I and the two elders would had concluded on who to appoint for these present situation. The appointed one's will be sent to rescue our members that the Water dominant held captive.

It was past ten in the morning, Rebecca went to Vanessa's room to ask her about the outcome of the meeting. To her great surprise, Vanessa room door entrance was locked.

"Haa... Vanessa, when do you start having privacy in this house; Open this door right now," Rebecca shouted.

At that moment, Vanessa was still sleeping. She lifted her head off the bed to confirm if someone was truly knocking on her door. She waited for some sec, looking at her door; suddenly she had her mum's voice.

"Open this door," Rebecca said, turning the door hardware impatiently. "is the door closed?" Vanessa asked.

When Rebecca heard Vanessa's voice, she was shocked that she was still on bed.

"I won't be asking you to open the door if the door was opened. Are you still sleeping? This is past ten already," Rebecca said.

Vanessa was too exhausted to open the door for her mother; So she stretched her hand towards the door and said some incantation, and the door opened.

"What's up?, was the meeting that stressful?" Rebecca asked.

Vanessa tried to drive herself up from the bed; as soon as her mum came in and started talking to her, she sat down at the footboard of her bed, and started chatting with her mum.

"Kind of mum, we did a lot of activities that why," Vanessa replied.

"sorry , dear, I warned your dad not to drag you into these mess," Rebecca said. "Mum am seriously fine; I enjoy being a witch," Vanessa said.

Rebecca came close to her daughter, putting her two hands on Vanessa chicks.

"Mum, I appreciate you and Dad for telling me who I was two years ago. Most of my friends don't even know who they are within; like Blessing," she said.

Rebecca sat down beside Vanessa, both facing the door.

"Oh, so any update about today's meeting?" Rebecca asked.

Vanessa looked at her mum with a deep smile.

"Mum, you know I can't tell you anything; it is against the rules; you are not one of us," Vanessa replied.

"Hmm , I married one of you, your father. So, are you trying to tell me you can't update me about the progress you all are taking to find your father; Right?" She asked.

She stood up angrily, taking a step to leave Vanessa's room; suddenly Vanessa held her arm, stopping her from leaving.

"Mum, you know the rules. But what I can tell you is that SOMETHING BIG IS UP. Something bigger than all of us," Vanessa said.

Wow, i knew it, Christine is up to something, I can feel it," Rebecca said.

Rebecca walked out from the bedroom with an angry mood. Vanessa was confused on why her mum mentioned her mentor's name; she was so eager to know why, so she tried to follow her.

"Mum Is there any problem between you and Christine?" She asked.

When Rebecca noticed Vanessa was following her.

"Get back; your food is at the dining table," Rebecca shouted on Vanessa.

She went straight into her husband's secret room and started chanting some powerful incantations so as to communicate to Christine, Facing a plain mirror.

Few minutes ago, Christine was in the kitchen cleaning some dishes; suddenly, her attention was cut by the song her son David was playing on his MP. He was using is guitar to give the song titled MAMA by ASA more Melody. Christine has to stop washing just to enjoy the song fully. Her love for the song makes her leave the kitchen to meet David in his room. As soon as David noticed his mum was standing at the door entrance of his room, he stopped the song.

"You've really improved," Christine said. David laughed, "wow, thanks, mum," he replied.

"So, What are your plans today?" Christine asked.

"Am planning of going to Vanessa's place by twelve pm today," David answered.

"The only plan I believe you should be having is on how to study very hard; not visiting someone," Christine said.

"Mum, I promised to be there, and I don't visit friends that much, you know right? She is going to be alone at home today," David said.

"The statement "promise" is just a word; it can be reversed. So tell her Something big came up, that you have to take care of it," Christine said.

David looked at his mum with a cold smile on his face. "What is so funny about what I just said?"she asked. "You once said a promise made is a debt unpaid," David said.

Christine smiled." yes, I said so; you got me right there. So are you the only one going down to her place? Christine asked." Nope," he replied.

Alright, you can go. Christine said, stuttered.

David jumped up from the chair he was sitting."Thanks, Mum; I love you so much," he said.

As soon as Christine left her son's room, she noticed her spirit was being called upon; she waited for some seconds saying some lite incantation. "Hmm. I recognize that calling," speaking to herself.

Christine snapped her finger without even saying any incantation, and she teleported to her secret room to attend to the person calling on her . David was very happy due to the go-ahead his mum gave him, facing around his room wondering why Vanessa wasn't picking up her calls.

"Please pick up, Vanessa," speaking to himself.

Vanessa was at the dining table looking unhappy, staring at her food. She suddenly stood up and went straight to her room. On getting to her room, she noticed her phone was ringing.

"Hello," she said, smiling.

"Why are you not answering my calls?" David asked, facing around the room.

"I am sorry I wasn't close to my phone. So, what's up? She asked.

"Alright; I just want to tell you am on my way," he said.

"Seriously?" She asked; taking off her clothes immediately, preparing to take her bath.

"I thought you were coming together with Blessing and her other friends? Vanessa asked, walking towards the bathroom.

"I changed my mind; I feel like seeing you before them," David replied, stuttered. "Alright , I will be expecting you," she said.

When Christine teleported into her secret room, she was not surprised to see Rebecca through her Calabash filled with water. She played so formally and calmly talking to her.

"What do you need from me this time, Rebecca," Christine asked.

Rebecca laughed, "I need nothing from you. I only call on you to tell you how your uncared attitude towards something very serious is going to get you killed one day," Rebecca said.

Wow, thanks a lot for the awareness charmed one; life unusually unaffected by dangers and difficulties. The only human on earth that takes what belongs to me and go Scot-free," Christine said.

"What do you mean?" Rebecca asked.

"You took him from me, remember. And the main reason why you are still breathing till date is because of him," Christine replied.

"You mean my husband, right? Rebecca asked?

Yeah, And I am very sure you called on me because of him; worry not dear, we are on it,".

"Wow , I don't know you still have feelings for him. I thought you've settled it. What is your problem? I have this feelings that you know his whereabouts. I think You're casting your revenge on him instead of me, because he decided to choose me instead of you. See how weak you are," Rebecca said.

I told you just now that the main reason why you're still breathing, as in till date, is because of him. So tell me a very good reason why I should hurt him," Christine spoke angrily.

Give me a reason why I should believe anything coming out of your mouth? Rebecca asked.

Yetunde laughed aloud, "I have to go," she replied.

"Find me my husband, you wicked witch," Rebecca shouted at her.
